and very impressive is the one from Nemac IV.

Your opinions and recommendations?

Nemac IV DC ist very cool. A very impressive (detailed and very smooth - 060) video is the intro of "Joyride".

Shadow of the Beast II had a visually stunning one.

But maybe my favourite is still Another World. The whole game is like a giant intro...

Can't put it better myself.

My favorite game intros are:

ANOTHER WORLD (like a movie)

FLASHBACK (although a bit too short)

SUPER CARS (greatest title music ever!!!)

GODS (simple but good)

BIRDS OF PREY (great fly-by-action)

TURRICAN 2 (nice although not animated)

It is that question again, what can we call as "intro". In Gods there is only one picture with scrolltext and amazing music, but is it a real intro?

Yes. "Intro" is simply short for introduction. Some intros (like Gods) can be simple music-and-pictures affairs and some can be small computer-movies.

I know, there was the little discusion in this topic. But: is the intro for example one sentence, like "Alestes metamorphoses into an owl, time to fight has come" (Agony)? Or "Basically - if it moves, nuke it!" (Blaster)? Probably yes, if I would be purist, but intro in my personal feeling is simply something else.
