|
|
Hey guys!
I wanted to do this for a long time and now that I have a little more time, I started my own review channel on YouTube called "Pat's Nostalgia":
http://www.youtube.com/PatsNostalgia
And since it looks awful just having a single video online, I made my first three reviews more or less simultaneously.
I learned a lot with these three first reviews so please bear with me, I try to get better.
Coincidently, all three reviews are Amiga games. It's not meant as an Amiga-only channel but since the Amiga was my main gaming machine in my youth, there is quite a bit nostalgia around.
Don't hesitate to say what you think, what you like and what you don't like.
Thanks, guys! _________________ Pat's Nostalgia

You could easily read stories for good night or fairy tales - Your voice is so calm.
Thumbs up and cheers ! _________________ ☭ Some people says : Amiga has no future ! ☭ |

I liked your reviews. Your 'Twinworld' review had me putting
that one on my list as a game I hadn't played yet. 'Cosmo's Cosmic'
was not rated so highly by you, but that was another one I
would like to play and see for myself. Good job. _________________ Who is John Galt?

Hey thanks! I'm so glad you seem to like my reviews!
I prepared a couple of more games but I don't have decided yet which one I do next.
I think, I have to post this on another board to promote my channel.. _________________ Pat's Nostalgia

I second that more contributions the better! Wish I could actually upload something worthwhile but wouldnt know where to start! _________________ Check out my blog RGO below, latest post now up!

I contacted Pat last week to suggest the very same thing. I know he's keen to start up his own Youtube channel (which is not always going to be Amiga related), but I said if you ever change your mind, just get in touch.
I made a sample review / overview the other day just to see if I could come up with anything decent. I chose The Settlers. It's in the can and I'll upload it next week when I get some more broadband credit.
Needless to say, I'd love to see more Amiga reviews on Lemon - along with anything else the Lemoners can come up with (Ultimate Prince of Persia Death-scenes, Shawn??). The more the merrier!!! |

As lifeschool said, it's something I consider. "Pat's Nostalgia" is not meant as an Amiga-only channel, even though I'll probably do most of my reviews for Amiga games.
I'm also still trying to get more experience and I'm trying to improve each one.
I hope I'll be able to post my next one tomorrow evening. _________________ Pat's Nostalgia

Hey guys!
There's a new episode. This time it's about Unreal.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVLASdtqELw
Unfortunately, I was sick a couple of day before recording and you can hear it in my voice.
But I finally have a new - much shorter - opening sequence. Yay! _________________ Pat's Nostalgia

I thought I'd bump this up and also say Well Done for the reviews you have made so far. All the reviews are well worth watching, and your voice lends itself to the subject so much more than my own voice. Your review of Apidya, Unreal and Dogs of War are a great tribute to the machine, and your editing and presenting skills are getting better all the time. I'd never seen Dogs of War before your review (I'd seen 'Warzone' by Core Design), so it instantly made me track down the game and give it a blast. I was about to make a video for Unreal, but you saved me a job! - and I think your review is better than what I could do.
cheers |

Thanks a lot, lifeschool!
I'm really glad you like my videos! I enjoy making them even though it's quite a pain to listen to my own voice.
I really would love to see/hear your thoughts about Unreal. Please don't stop making a video just because someone else made one.
By the way: Since people really seem to like my videos, I'm thinking about contributing to the official Lemon Amiga channel. _________________ Pat's Nostalgia

Yeah! Throw a couple links 'this way! You'd probably get more views by
'bouncing' it about _________________ Who is John Galt?
