Can you just really imagine a Game-Movie?
Thinking about Turrican... and the hero is jumping around, getting some goodies, killing some triggered enemies. The whole movie is done with horizontal and vertical camera movement....

Browen Sword series could be made into some sort of detective film.
Last Ninja would also make a good film.

Mmhh.. yeah but you just add more standard action movie characters, like stupid and irritating superior officers, a weasely traitor, a standard love interest etc. Add the Morgul's army launching some meteors or other long range weaponry to Earth so that the hero's homecity gets brutally pwned, and he'll thus have personal need for revenge. As final touch you get Bruckheimer/Bay to produce & direct and any of the "pretty-face" actors to play Bren McGuire Smile

There have been some game movies and they all turned out to be flops.

But a movie about Pirates! would be the best I guess! Laughing Wink

Neither Tomb Raider film flopped (although that doesn't make them any good).

And the new Resident Evil movie took some good takings in it's first weekend in the US.

I'm just hoping this new Final Fantasy movie is actually semi-decent!

Btw. check out this Paradroid movie script

http://www.bmeg2000.com/design/Paradroid/

Has quite little resemblance to the game, and those necessary Hollywoodisms added. Still quite good.

Leisure Suit Larry - I remember reading ages ago that they were considering it

Jack Nicholson would be perfect in the role as Larry. Cool

They are making an Alone In The Dark movie. I bet it's crap though! Laughing

Evil or Very Mad It´s directed by Uwe Boll, the hack-meister behind House of the Dead. It´s gonna suck like hell, that pisses me off ´cause i loved the game.

I have to agree - imagine that wicked grin of his when he's trying to pull a young bird. Excellent.

Most films turned to movies are flops though:

Tomb Raider 2
Street Fighter
Final Fantasy
Wing Commander
Mortal Kombat 2
Double Dragon

Actually, they should base the fourth Indiana Jones film on the game Fate of Atlantis!
It would prolly be a decent film.

Dune was based on Frank Herbert´s novel and on the movie, you can recognize Kyle Mac Lachlan in the game.

You probably meant Dune II.
