The scoreboard in the first post is messed up.
I didn't submit any scores for Xenon II.
[edit]
Looks good now and Xenon II score also submitted at EAB. _________________ RIP mom (1953-2008)

Just a tip from retroplay, The auto-fire upgrades are stackable in case anyone didnt realise. _________________

I completed this game as recently as 2009, currently only getting as far as the end of LVL 3. The bosses are relatively easy to beat if you know a few key bits of info. Take the crayfish: his general path is predetermined. |

Oh, and don't waste money on Mines or the ElectroBall. They are both pants.
An old friend of mine was a Bitmap obsessive. He reckoned the secret to XenonII was to "zone out". When hells breaking loose you gotta try an ignore the enemy somewhat and just focus on dodging their fire/bullets. In the process of avoiding their weapon discharge you will inadvertantly kill most of the enemy. Works for me most of the time. |

BTW, another top tip is to always remember you can go backwards. Often the best way to protect your power ups and not end up bashing the fire button coz you've lost your autofire is to back out of a firefight. The enemy flight patterns are such that they will usually move up the screen as you back out, giving you some space to blast them.
And don't forget to pump your neck to the music....that's important. |

No way! I actually plug it into my seperates and turn up the volume, awesome stuff, and pretty special in it's day. I remember thinking it sounded awesome. You gotta remember this is 1989 programming. |
