Do you get a lot of extra score for completing the last level?

For the fireballs, guys, wait for two balls to appear, kill them as quick as possible, then run down, start shooting at the generator and when new two fireballs appear forget about generator for a while and destroy at least one of the fireballs allowing the second one to hit you, then finish destroying generator. I bet it can spare you a life if you have enough energy to survive close encounter with fireball. If not...well, try to reach 4-4 with a couple of lives.

For this operation I recommend Navvie of course. Razz

Not much of an improvement, but got to the last boss. Wink

I've started using the Navvie a lot, basically because he can shoot x4 bullets which are wide enough to clear most narrow corridors. Finally got past the generators by following your advice, but when I ran in to get the generator I ignored the fireballs and just got the generator. That did the job but I lost the life. Had to do this for the other top generator as well. By the time I got through to the boss I was on my very last life. Almost wiped out the final boss by running around him anti-clockwise. He and I had just a scrap of energy at the end. It was him or me. It turned out to be me. Laughing

This is the strategy most people will use I think. But you still have to have 2 lives after this, because you can feel safe against Chaos then - with 2 lives and your pal dead you can simply stand and shoot, it should be enough.

Btw, did anybody notice how much points you get for destroying Chaos if any at all? I didnt, I was busy shooting.

It's hard to watch how many points I or computer player gets, when there is machine shooting at you. But I think that you will get 500-1000 points? Rolling Eyes

On the longplay on youtube the guy only got 1k for completing the boss. Rather pathetic.

I found there was enough of a gap between the orbs to at least reach the generator, but would be likely to lose a life on the top two. Either die half way and return to finish it. Or destroy it but die covered in orbs.

There are two tactics. First - have enough spare lives to destroy the generator and get killed by the orbs (sometimes you may be fast enough and only one orb will touch you so you won't get killed). Second - use the gap, rush towards the generator, shoot it two-three times and retreat manouvering between the orbs.

My guess is I needed my partner to be still alive so he could take care of the orbs while I did the generator.

Might be something in that. I specifically bought my mate 3 lives for that level, and the extra firepower would have helped.

One thing - when playing with CPU all enemies are rushing towards you, so this is not going to be the best option but worth trying.

Actually all of them are correct in their own way. Very Happy Because you get first 1k for destroying the first part of the machine and another 1k for destroying the second part, therefore you get 2k for destroying the machine, but you don't get any extra points for completing the game.

oh lol, worked extra on exploring secrets and in the end I got less points then last try, where I went pretty much straight forward till the end. I am confused about where others squeeze those extra few k's..

Me too. I reckon I could get 53k on a clean run but I can't imagine how they get the 59/60k scores. Tried going several routes to compare the stats at the end of each mission. I guess it's impossible to get 100% on any level, but sometimes the stats screen gives away the fact that there was a key somewhere I didn't pick up, or some node I couldn't reach. On The Maze level (2-1) it's possible to clean up the entire level, while on the next level - 'The Traps' (2-2) I can only go left or right (and then central) but not all three routes (I don't think). Sometimes it helps to choose the A exit over the B exit if you get to play more of the next level.
