Lemon/EAB Super League 2012
Important Special Round Rule
This is the vote for the first special round of the season. When voting you can only choose games that are listed as either Public Domain, Freeware, Shareware, Coverdisk full games, Promotional, or even hidden games. Basically anything considered non-commercial.
The two games with the most votes will be played. If you are in doubt about a games status, ask in the thread before you vote, or contact a Moderator. It will be sorted out before the end of voting.
This vote is for the games we will play in Round 4.
The voting starts now and will end Saturday 17th March 23:59 UK Time. Vote for 5 games.
Remember to choose games suitable for competition play.
Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4pts, third 3pts, fourth 2pts, fifth 1pt.
The winner of the previous round will get their vote doubled (1st choice = 10pts etc).
Edited votes will de discounted - so think before you post.
Tactical or nosey voters can see the EAB voting thread HERE.

ok, seeing a AFF is out of the question, here are my top five favourite PD games in order. If any of these games get voted in I'll be very happy.
1. The Adventures of Quick and Silva - a very polished platform shooter with an interesting array of enemies and lots of levels - (as seen in one of my reviews).
4. The Attack of the Green Smelly Aliens from Planet 27b/6 - a superb variation on Space Invaders with full 360 degree shooting and an independantly operated shield.
5. Missile Command - the classic anti-nuke action game.
---
Some other games I considered were:
Aquanaut - by F1 Licenseware - (cybernoid clone, wouldn't mind playing this actually)
Drip - (great first few levels but gets too hard after level 8 to be fun).
Magnetic Fields 'MF' Tanks - (smooth and fast but a bit boring)
Scorched Tanks / Tanx - (excellect games but have no high score tables)
Damage: The Sadistic Butchering of Humanity - (HOL says its commercial)
Catch 'Em - (catch the moneys!, but HOL says its commercial)
Dr. Mario - (a good Tetris variant but too repetitive for me)
Dr. Strange 1 & 2 - (ok gameplay but not very rewarding, DS2 is a bit better)
Hydrozone / Speedracer FX - (both great games but no high scores possible)
POD - (another space invaders clone, not as fun as Better Dead TA..)
Cybernetix (dropzone/defender clone, quite good but not 'my thing' really)
Also remember: "The two games with the most votes will be played in the next round."

The only Public Domain, Freeware, Shareware, Coverdisk full games, Promotional, or even hidden game I can think of that I have played and is suitable is Manhole (2011) by Lee Hurley Productions.

1. Metagalactic Llamas Battle at the Edge of Time (I'm sure this is a favourite amoungst most of us so I will not go into any further detail)
2. Sneech (I love Tron games and this is one of the best)
3. Bally II (another Tron type game, this one probably IS the best but I voted it lower down because, strategically thinking, Sneech is more likely to get the vote)
4. Insectoids 2 (never played Insectoids one but I like the second)
5. Space Taxi III (reminds me of my Spectrum days).

lifeschool, Adventures of Quik & Silva is under commercial licence isn't it?
I thought it was given away on magazine covers, and because it infringes on other games and is very short, makes sense that it's PD. So Lemon's license info may be wrong. Although it is very polished and came out on multiple systems. Anyone else remember this one? _________________ Lemon/EAB Super League 2013 - Round 6: Arcade Pool
