Euro League Manager - Instructions

    FORMAT
    ======

    Euroleague manager is designed to run on all amigas with 2mb of ram  &
    will require the use of a mouse.


    LOADING
    =======

    Insert disk 1 in df0 & follow on screen instructions.


    INTRODUCTION
    ============

    Owing to possible legal copyright restrictions which we where  advised
    may  stop  us  using  the  current league format & the correct players
    names, certain changes have had to be made to our original  ideas.  We
    hope  that  this does not spoil your enjoyment of the product. We have
    included an included an editor in the game so  that  if  you  wish  to
    change  team  or  player  names you can. This is an essential tool for
    european players.


    Euro league manager includes 4 divisions of eighteen teams, 2 domestic
    cup competitions & european competitions. Promotion &  relegation  are
    based upon four up & four down.


    PLAYING THE GAME
    ================

    Once the game has loaded you will be  requested  to  select  either  a
    "NEW"  game  or  to load an existing "SAVE" game. You will be asked to
    select which league you wish to play (ENGLISH,ITALIAN,SPANISH  OR  OUR
    FANTASY  LEAGUE),  enter  your  name & select from the three levels of
    difficulty.

    EASY -   You will start the game in the premier league.

    NORMAL - You will start in division 1

    HARD   - You will start in division 2


    The difficulty level will also effect your starting capital, the  size
    of  your  stadium & your abilty to raise loans. You will then be asked
    to select which "TEAM" you wish to manage.

    The game is controlled via a series of icons which are selected by the
    use of a mouse. The use of each icon is given in more detail below.


    THE MAIN SCREEN
    ===============

    The main screen is a view of your office. Control  the  game  via  the
    icons  stadium  (WINDOW), finances (PICTURE ON THE WALL), stats (GRAPH
    ON THE WALL), team data (CHEST OF DRAWERS),  staff  (TELEPHONE),  game
    options  (MON  ITOR),  kick  off  next  game  /  advance one week (THE
    FOOTBALL).


    STADIUM
    =======

    Selecting this icon will display the selection of impovements that can
    be made to your stadium. The areas that can be improved upon are:

    Terraces            Seats         Area covering
    Ground facilities   Floodlights   Scoreboard
    Car park            Safty rating

    Click on the area you wish to improve & a new menu will  come  up.  It
    will  show  you  the cost & duration of time it will take to complete.
    You have a choice, if you wish to proceed click on the OK icon, if you
    believe  the  cost  is  out  of  your  range click on the CANCEL icon.
    Remember ground impovements can be made over a period of one  or  more
    seasons. Thats if you remain in management that long.


    FINANCES
    ========

    This icon will allow you to view your teams current accounts. Click on
    the EXIT icon to return to the main menu.


    ACCOUNTS
    ========

    Click on this icon & you will be shown your weekly accounts. Click the
    mouse button again & this will show you your clubs yearly accounts.


    BANK
    ====

    Click on this icon & you will be shown  your  bank  details.  At  this
    point you can apply for a loan.

    To  apply  click on the "APPLY FOR A LOAN" icon. The minimum amount is
    10,000. Yoy are given a choice of the length of the term your loan  is
    repaid  over. Of course the amount of interest rate does increase with
    the length of time.  The  loan  you  apply  for  can  be  increased  &
    decreased by using the "+" & "-" icons.


    CONTRACTS
    =========

    Click on the icon ad you will be shown the details of your players con
    tracts.


    C = Leagth of contract      W = Weekly wages

    P = Games played            G = Goals scored

    AVR = Average rating


    EXIT
    ====

    Click on this icon to return to the main menu.


    STATS
    =====

    In this section you can:

    View tables

    View top goalscorers

    View average rating (PLAYERS)

    View league results


    TEAM DATA
    =========

    Team name - Click on this icon & you can view all the players in  your
    squad & select your team.

    To select a player to play in your team you select his player position
    number in the left hand column & then click on a  player  to  play  in
    this position. If you wish to see the player in greater detail you can
    click on the players name to display is current statistics.

    Also on this screen you can:

    Change the formation & tactics

    View the average ratings for your players

    View your teams top goalscorer


    Click on the EXIT icon to return to the main menu.


    PLAYERS MARKET
    ==============

    Click on this icon to enter the transfer market.

    If a particular players catches your eye, then to make a bid click  on
    the  players  name.  This will bring up the players details & form. If
    you are still intrested in making a bid then click on the "BUY"  icon.
    This is where you make your offer.

    You  may  make a cash offer or a cash & player exchange. If you make a
    cash offer you will be shown the asking price. You can  try  to  lower
    this  by  using  the mouse to amend your bid. Select the 10s,100 etc &
    then either the


    "+" or "-" icon to increase or decrease your offer.

    A  player  exchange  offer is made by using the "ADD PLAYER" icon & is
    comfirm ed by using the "BID" icon. It is normally more  expensive  to
    choose  a  player  exchange  deal but it is a good way of clearing out
    your unwanted players.

    If while looking for players you see someone that takes your  eye  you
    may add him to your own list be selecting

    "PLAYER LIST". This is your own notebook.


    TEAMS
    =====

    From  the  "TEAM  LIST"  icon  you  may  try  to   buy   other   teams
    coaches,scouts,  youth  scouts  &  physios. To do this click on a team
    name & then click on the team name again. This brings up a list of the
    back  room  staff. Click on who you would like to take a look at. Then
    decide if you wish to make an approach.


    PLAYERS LIST
    ============

    Click on this icon to remind you of who you have chosen to keep an eye
    on with view to tranfer.


    EDITOR
    ======

    Here you can change your team & player name. Click  on  the  name  you
    want  to  change  &  type in the box using the keyboard the new name &
    press enter. Repeat thisprocess  until  you  end  up  with  names  you
    require & press enter. It is not just your own players you can change.
    At this point you must save the game & restart from the saved game.


    STAFF
    =====

    Select the telephone to access all your staff. Here you may view your:


    Coach.............Select the traing schedule for that week.
    ..................Click on the day & scroll tho the various options
    ..................It is important to come up with the right balance.
    Scout.............You may call up your scout to supply a list of
    ..................Of available players.
    Physio............Give details of any current injury problems.
    Board.............Lets you know how well you are performing in the
    ..................Eyes of your "EMPLOYERS"
    Information.......Gives details at a glance of your current position.


    GAME OPTION
    ===========

    Select compters monitor screen.


    SAVE GAME
    =========

    This allows you to save the game & return to  the  same  game  at  the
    position you left it at. Follow insryctions on screen.


    OPTIONS
    =======

    Animations.While the game is in progress you can choose to replay the
               Hightlights.

    Match spee.You can set the speed of the game.

    SoundFx....Set on or off.

    Training...Set on or off
               If you choose to keep training off it may have an effect
               On your players. But remember we all need a break sometime.
