Scanning Game Boxes
It's always nice looking at game boxes from the good old Amiga days. At the moment Lemon Amiga has box scans for 138 games. Any boxes not found in this list are welcome to be sent in!

Once you have been digging out your original games, take a look at the condition of your boxes. If a box is in a very bad shape, it may not be worth scanning. If the box looks OK, go ahead and scan both front and back in 300 DPI, and save them with high quality JPG-compression. With this method a box scan usually ends up with a file size of 2-4Mb.

Keep in mind to always send the original scans even if the filesizes are very big - do not resize or crop the images in any way. You can even leave a little bit of blank space outside the box instead of trying to scan it precisely, otherwise chances are that you cut off a few pixels. Lemon Amiga will take care of the finishing part to make sure your scans look pretty.

A common problem when scanning boxes is that they may not always have a plane surface, and this can result in blurry scans in the area which is not pressed towards the scanner glass. This can be solved easily if you weight it down with something such as a book.

When you have finished scanning, email your images to amigascans@gmail.com (Note that the attachment limit is 20Mb, so don't send batches bigger than this).

Once your scans have been sent in, you can expect to see them on Lemon Amiga with the next box update. Credits will be given below each scan by stating "Scan: <Your Name>".

NOTE: If you have sent in scans before which haven't yet been added to the site, do not worry. They're sitting here safely waiting for the big box scan update. :)

Scanning Game Advertisements
Lemon Amiga is looking for full-page advertisements of games from various Amiga magazines. The scanning rules for adverts are the same as with the box scans. We already have all the Zzap! and Amiga Format magazines scanned, but there are a lot of other magazines out there.

Many advertisements are for games that were released on the Amiga, but the Amiga version is not always mentioned. Therefore, take a look at the advert before scanning it, and only scan it if the Amiga version is mentioned. Adverts that don't mention any systems at all are welcome though.

Reviewing Games
Choose any Amiga game on this site. This could be your favourite game, a game you really dislike, or a game you haven't tested before. When you have decided which game you wish to review, visit the Games section, view 'Details' for the game and click 'Review Now'.

Your review will be added to our database for approval. If your review is well-written you can expect to see it on Lemon Amiga within a few days.
