Help Setting up a hard drive with Workbench 3.1 in WinUAE
5. Setting up WinUAE
1) Start up WinUAE
During startup you will see a couple of message boxes, click OK in all of them.

2) Configure WinUAE
The screenshots below illustrate how the configurations should look like. Click on the thumbnails to view them in full size.


CPU
1) Set CPU Type to 68020 + FPU
2) Tick the JIT checkbox
3) Select Fastest possible, but maintain chipset timing
4) Set the at CPU Idle slider at 8
5) Set the JIT Cache Size slider to 6 MB

Set Chipset Type to AGA

ROM
Select the Boot ROM file by clicking the '...' button.
Browse to the ROMs folder we created earlier and
select your ROM file.

1) Set the Chip slider to 2 MB
2) Set the Fast slider to 8 MB
3) Set the Z3-Fast slider to 8 MB
4) Set the RTG (graphics card) slider to 8 MB

Hard Drives
* Adding the System hard drive
1) Click Add Directory...
2) Enter DH0 as Device Name
3) Enter System as Volume Label
4) Select the Worbench 3.1 folder as Path
5) Click OK

* Adding the Programs hard drive
1) Click Add Directory...
2) Enter DH1 as Device Name
3) Enter Programs as Volume Label
4) Select the Programs folder as Path
5) Click OK

* Adding the Games hard drive
1) Click Add Directory...
2) Enter DH2 as Device Name
3) Enter Games as Volume Label
4) Select the Games folder as Path
5) Click OK


Hard Drives


Display
1) In the Windowed text areas, type 640 and 512.
2) In Centering, tick both the Horizontal and Vertical checkbox

Saving your Configuration
The configuration is now finished, so go to the Configurations tab and save it!

1) Enter Amiga 1200 as Name
2) Enter Workbench 3.1, Hard Drive, 16 Mb as Description
3) Click the Save button
