1) Once your Amiga has booted up it should look something like this.

2) Click on the Install 3.1 disk icon and then click the Install folder.
Now select on your prefered installation language (this tutorial is for English).

3) Click Proceed

4) Click Install Release 3.1
You can get tips by clicking the Help... button at any time during installation.

5) Tick the Intermediate User checkbox and click Proceed With Install

6) Click Proceed

7) Click Yes when it asks if you want to install it into System: partition

8) Select an additional language if your country is listed and click Proceed

9) Click Proceed

10) Select British and American keymap. If you live in another country, tick the keymap for this country too if it's listed.
Click Proceed

11) The installer now copies the files to your hard drive. During the installation you will be prompted to swap floppy disks a few times.
To swap disks, press F12 to bring up the WinUAE GUI. Click on the Disk Drives tab and replace any of the disks with the disk you are prompted to insert. It doesn't matter which disk you replace as the Workbench installer will detect any disk changes automatically.
Click the OK button when you have swapped disks and the installation will continue.

12) The installation is now complete. Press F12 to bring up the WinUAE GUI. Click on the Disk Drives tab and press the Eject buttons for all drives.
Click OK button to return to Workbench and click Proceed to reboot your Amiga.

13) If everything went well, you now have Workbench running like above.
Skip this part if you use a British or American keyboard or if your country wasn't listed when you selected keymaps.
However, if your country was listed, it's important to specify which keyboard type to use, otherwise you might not be able to type certain character.
Do the following in Workbench:
1) Click the System hard drive icon
2) Click the Prefs icon
3) Click the Input icon
4) In Input Preferences, select your country as Keyboard Type
5) Click Save
