American Poker – A Gambling Game to Avoid
Has there ever been a good gambling game in video-game format? I strongly doubt it. The thing is that all games of this kind lack one component that is necessary for gambling to become interesting – money. If there’s no risk/reward involved, you don’t really care about the outcome of a hand and the game soon becomes boring. American Poker, as well as all other games in this category, suffers from this problem.

But poker is different you might say. There’s a winning strategy. You can learn how different opponent act in various situations, outplay them and get an edge. In poker, a player’s decisions matter and it’s not like casino games purely based on luck.

Unfortunately though, American Poker is not a poker game. It is a video-poker game and that’s something completely different. You get your five cards, discard the ones you don’t like, and try to get a hand as strong as possible. There are no opponents and no winning strategy whatsoever. In my opinion, someone who can manage to play American Poker for more than ten minutes deserves a medal.

If you played this game back in the days and liked it, don’t try it again. You will only say “what was I thinking when I spent hours playing this junk”. Those who like poker should look for a poker sign up bonus and play online instead. Internet poker is actually the only gambling game worth playing, and it involves that necessary component, cash on the table.

Cadaver: The Pay Off
Why just a score of 8 instead of 9? Because in my opinion the degree of difficulty is too high. Only pros and absolute die-hards should visit the four new levels – but those won’t be disappointed. ‘Cadaver- The Payoff’ is the ultimate challenge indeed...
