Rainbow Arts' Rock 'n Roll is without a doubt a very charming and unique game. The game can be described as a puzzle/maze game in which you have to guide a ferocious rolling ball through a total of 32 unique levels, each with it's own particular peculiarities, signature and landscape.
The main objective of the game is to find the exit of the level, but to achieve this you have to avoid booby traps which drain your energy and you need to collect colour keys which open the corresponding doors. Money is scattered throughout the levels and by collecting money you can buy upgrades simply by rolling over the upgrade pads (if money is insufficient you can try to stay on the pad for a moment for a trade-off with your energy). In most cases the upgrades are enabled with the mouse buttons.
Upgrades:
- eye - increases map depth
- bombs - when planted enables passages or hidden exits after detonation
- parachute - prevents death-falls
- picks - produces tiles
- speed up - speaks for itself
- spikes - no slipping away on ice
- protection - enables ball to break through walls
You'll encounter bonus rooms and warps, energy barriers, teleporters, energy fields, powerful magnets, secret rooms, ventilators and much more. Rock 'n Roll is a very entertaining game that is still fun today.

Catchy Rock 'n Roll tunes by Chris Hülsbeck. Very suiting for the game.

Highly addictive game with plenty of levels that you just want to see and complete. The ball is controlled by the mouse - skill and a steady hand is required to avoid frustration.
