Qwak is a single-screen platform game, and I really like that because you have a very good overview of each level. The disadvantage with a single screen may be that the level could be too short, or it's not enough "space" to fill in all the things that has to be on one level. Well it's not a disadvantage here because Qwak is very simple, but still very innovative at the same time.
You control a duck. He/She(?) needs to pick up all the yellow keys to open the door to the next level. But beware! There are creatures out there that hinders you from doing so. Some of the creatures looks like seals, fishes and rabbits. Your duck can attack the creatures by throwing eggs at them. You throw different types of eggs, so some eggs does more damage then others. You will also find fresh fruits on every level. Gather them to get bonus points and extra eggs in the next level. Diamonds can also be found. If you can collect one diamond from every colour, you will get bonus points. The most important thing is to gather all the yellow keys, but sometimes you can find grey keys (and sometimes switches). They allow you to open some doors. Sometimes you need them get further, or sometimes it will open secret places with extra fruits, diamonds, eggs etc.
Potions may sometime be VERY important to get, because some potions gives your duck an armour. It will protect your duck from dying instantly when hit by an enemy creature. You can triple your armour protection by gathering 3 potions. There are also some rare super potions to find that can be of some help. Some of the super potions can make you fly, make you invulnerable etc.
Beware spikes and skulls! They do a lot of harm to your duck. Especially the skull, it will kill you instantly if you get too close to it!
Something special may happen in some levels from time to time including:
- Lots of "raining" goodness. Diamonds, fruits and eggs falls from the sky, try to catch them all! But beware the raining spikes though!
- Flying key. The last yellow key may get wings and fly away. Catch it and grap it!
- Resurrecting enemies. This is very annoying and really hard. Sometimes the enemy creatures will come back to life after you have eliminated them with your eggs.
Many other surprised can be found in this game!
All this in one level! Some levels may be short, but there are MANY levels - and no loading times at all in-between!
I almost forgot to tell you that you can play this game with a friend if you want! Two ducks will team up and play at the same time on the screen. It's so fun!
All that is left to say that if you haven't played this game yet, try to get your hands on it somehow! Recommended to any age. Qwak is a masterpiece in it's genre - it's really up there with the single-screen classics "Pang!" and "Ugh!".

The creatures are extremely cute, colourful and each one moves in their own way.
The backgrounds are wonderful to look at. Very stylish and varied.
NOTE: On some of the screenshots the background graphics looks very buggy. The screenshots must have been taken from a damaged disk. Just to let you know, the game looks much better then that.

Unnaturally addictive! There are so many things you can do in one single screen!
You have also full balance and control of your character. So playable!
You can also play this game with a friend at the same time, that's a HUGE plus!
