Lamborghini American Challenge 1994, Titus Software
Oh my God! I never forget how many days I spent on playing Crazy Cars III on my beloved Amiga back then. It was intense and exciting! Trying to get to the finish line first with this awesome roaring Lamborghini that can out-speed any other cars out there (including the cops)!
So forget Crazy Cars I and II because THIS is the racing game you must have for your Amiga!

In case you didn't know, "Lamborghini American Challenge" is exactly the same game as "Crazy Cars III" but has a 2-Player mode which I think makes the game ten times better. If only I had this and not Crazy Cars III at the time, I probably would have spent days with friends on it!

Before each race you bet a lot of money with your rivals. How much do you have and how much do you dare to gamble? Remember, the winner keeps all the drivers bets! So be careful not too spend it all. If you win, you should spend your money on improving your car, repairing it when it has been damaged and buy useful inventions (including a scanner that will alarm you when a cop is nearby)!

There are many cities in America that you can race in. Some cities are tougher then others and some have more cops then others. When you are a richer and a more experienced driver, you will have access to tougher races! But be aware that your rival will also be tougher!
After you have picked a city, you are ready to race against your rivals!
Try to get to the finish line before your rivals do, but remember the police may be out there and they don't like road hogs! They will even try to crash your car to pieces just to stop you, so try to out-speed them, or you can take it easy when you know they are nearby and hope they will chase one of your rivals instead!
The boost is very helpful, it will turn your car into a rocket car! You will drive SO fast that the road will look all blurry! The boost is amazing and one of the highlights in the game!

Lamborghini American Challenge is one of the best racing games you can find on the Amiga. For me it's in the same league with Lotus and Super Cars! The 2-Player mode was the only thing I missed on Crazy Cars III, but LAC took care of that. Near perfection and undoubtedly the best game from Titus Software!

Review Summary
GRAPHICS: 8 / 10
Nothing to rave about for it's time, but still the graphics are really nice. Especially all the backgrounds with American cities and places. Really nice to look at. The cars and the roads are also really nice to look at in movement.

SOUND: 8 / 10
The cars sound nice, but for me the most impressive thing with the sound in this game is the sound of the police sirens. You can hear if the police is far away or if they are really close to you. Let me tell you, you will be alarmed and under pressure when you hear they are right behind you!

PLAYABILITY: 10 / 10
I have nothing to complain about. Since the game has a 2-Player mode included, I think the game has everything it needs.
Really fair but challenging gameplay and including gambling, shopping and all the places you can choose to drive in America makes the game innovative and worth playing countless of times.

OVERALL: 9 / 10
If you love Crazy Cars III, you will love this even more!
