This is one of the best pinball games for the Amiga, and the second game from the Swedish company Digital Illusions. When it was released it was a top selling game and the team at Digital Illusions received many awards for it.
The first game, Pinball Dreams was also a success, but was hard to publish at first. Nobody was interested, but after some struggling, "21st century entertainment" finally took a chance and developed it. And it was a success. After this they had no problem to publish a sequel like this one, because they now had a professional contract! The Swedish makers/programmers Fredrik Liliegren and Andreas Axelsson wrote a diary for every week in a Swedish Amiga-magazine named "Datormagazin" during the time they worked on their projects and I still have those magazines left. They programmed it on a Amiga 4000, which was powerful at that time... one problem with the programming was to get the ball smooth, but at the end they got it right and perfect!
The graphics are very clear, smooth and nice. There are 4 different Pinball tables and everyone is actually made the way Digital Illusions would like it to be. They loved Pinball games, but there were no good Pinball games during the time they wrote those. They made Pinball Dreams and now this.... and this was simply because they felt and knew they could do it so much better. The programming and graphics of this game is made with love and very hard work! When you review this second game you must compare it to their first one, Pinball Dreams also. This game has different tables, a little better coloured graphics, improved sound and more possibilities on the tables. Pinball Dreams is 100% perfect, but this is the next step in their work. Call this game 200% instead! The tables are very fun to watch and play at the same time.
The four tables are Partyland, Speed devils, Billion dollar game show, Stones and bones. All of the tables are special designed, have personality and it's a lot of good gameplay in all of them!
The sound gives a good atmosphere when you play the tables. The intro music in the beginning is powerful and it's good music when you play also. Olof Gustavsson who made the music has done a good job and the sound is floating together with the whole game. In gameplay the music gives another dimension to this great game! Each table has a special tune and music depending on which type of track/table it is. The Stones and bones table has a very dark tune, because the track is inspired from a graveyard and Billion dollar game show table has a more happy tune... Partyland has a lunatic tune and so on... :)
The playability in this game is very high and addictive. If you don't have a real pinball machine at your house, this is the best to play. All the pinball games made by Digital Illusions are very good! Pinball Dreams, Pinball Illusions and this game is one of the best, smoothest and authentic Pinball ever made. Sure, maybe they are better Pinball games with heavier graphics.... but it's the whole gameplay in this who makes it! It feels good and it's behaving the way it should be. Even if you compare this game to other platforms you won't find any game like this! It's like magic when you play and see this..
If you like Amiga, I suggest you to give this a try. Also check out the Amiga CD32 version with improved AGA graphics.
They have tried to make conversions to other platforms but this has failed. They made a conversion and released this game to the Super Nintendo console, but Digital Illusions later admit that is was an awful conversion... Nobody has EVER tried to even think about that after this. Maybe because you never can copy the original and that it's best played on the Amiga. So true, so true.. Amiga is special in it's own.

The music is very good and gives a new dimension to the game. Nice tunes during gameplay.

Very high and addictive game. Hard to master and it has a highscore table so you can improve all the time. To lock up different surprises in the game you must play the ball and get higher score.... Many, many possibilities!
