Plexu: The Time Travellers 1990, New Line Software
Fun if obscure game. Only other production by New Line Software besides "Aladdin's Magic Lamp" which came out a year before this one. Not as bad as the magazines at the time rated it, just a bit simple. Every level, you have to go right shooting stuff that comes at you both vertically as well as at an angle through the air, while having to turn around left every once in a while to shoot an enemy endemic to that level and that purpose. Actually, the level 1 ghost is probably the hardest of the four monsters designed for this purpose, as he can change his elevation and thusly be able to touch and kill you while staying just out of your range.

Also, just like their last game, this one is very hard but where in "Lamp" you had only one life, here you have one timer for the entire game! You have to collect the coin things that randomly appear on screen to buy time extensions in the between-levels-shop or you won't make it. Worse, the coins sometimes do not register as being picked up even when one walks right through them.

The bosses once again never move, also similarly to "Lamp" and just fire bullets at you at intervals. For almost the entire game you have to use the rather odd upward-angle shot (activated by pressing down and a direction) to even hit their unusualy high placed weak spots, except in level 4 with the final boss, but even then, standing on the box gets you killed and you actually have a pretty sweet save spot to fire away at the guy.

In short, I really wish NLS made more games as their products have something of a charm that I can't exactly explain.
