I agree. It plays so well, and is one of the few platformers that I returned to after completing it.

It actaully is, based on Lemon Amiga members' rating (if you set Platformer, Any Amiga and at least 30 votes needed):

The Amiga must have some poor platform games then, that's all I can say.

Crap games!

Anyone else agree? Or do you disagree?

Project X. Boring badly designed shooter.
Body Blows. Very bad beat em up.
Assassin. Bad strider clone.

Not trying to be controversial. I liked the polished graphics and I think Allister Brimble is a legend when it comes to Amiga music. But I found the games badly designed and lifeless and because they were so widely respected I think this reinforces why I think that they were in fact so overrated.
I've been saying this for years. I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say their games are crap, but dull and soulless is definitely how I'd describe them. Body Blows in particular for me is just laughably bad. Really poor character design. Team 17's games to me always felt like they really knew how to push the Amiga technically and if they only had better game designers then they could have produced some really impressive stuff. As it is we got a game about a 'super' 'frog'.

I'm a big fan of Worms (though never played the 1st game, mostly Armageddon which I think has nearly-endless playability and is very amusing) and ABTA (tough but with solid gameplay non-linear playability and a good atmosphere of desolation and dread, the ambient soundtrack/motion sensor noise builds up great tension), Arcade Pool is fun as well.
Super Frog I find very dull, though.
AB3D I played as Project Osiris (a Total Conversion for Doom engines), an okay FPS but again rather bland, and it's slow and pixellated, depending on the machine it's running on.
Not played too many of their other games.
I've seen a bit of gameplay of Qwak here and there but never played it myself but it looks like a bit of silly cutesy fun, and the one-screener collect-'em-up convention seems an alright idea.

Okay so my curiosity got the better of me and I played ABTA on "Tough", and I see no difference.

Yep, Alien Breed (the 2D ones) and Worms are absolutely iconic. Worms: DC in particular has so many improvements over the original that it's almost a different game - and Amiga-exclusive. But I'll go with what some others are saying here: Superfrog is well polished - it looks and sounds decent and gameplay is fine. It might well be the best platformer on the Amiga, but it's not an amazing game really in the grand scheme of things. After playing the likes of Sonic and Mario in the same era, Superfrog just fades into mediocrity with dozens of other barely memorable platformers, despite its gloss.

T17 games i did love

Arcade Pool
Superfrog
Alien Breed SE 92
F17 Challenge
Alien Breed 3D
Worms DC

Ones i thought were terrible and unplayable

Body Blows (any of them)
Alien Breed 2 (way to hard for me) and to a certain extent AB TA, looked and sounded great but again to hard for me.
Assasin
Project X
ATR ( probably one of the worst top down ish racers on the Amiga imo)

Kwak ive never played, and as for ones not mentioned, well i didnt really like or hate them, they were just there lol
I did like the xbox 360/PC Alien breed games released in the early/mid 2000s, still have all 3 installed in Steam.
