What a game to start 2022 with. Some games really do stand the test of time, Slam Tilt plays just as well now as it ever did. One of the most loved games of the late Amiga period. I cannot believe I am saying this but I remember playing it in 2009 viewtopic.php?t=6919 where it was one of my first ever comp rounds. I really put the hours in back then and worked my pair of index fingers to the bone on the 7:47 into Paddington every morning. 13 billion combined score.

Looking forward to 2022!

All those .................

I was having a quick mess about with this and the Space Ace and Demon tables have a lot of multi-ball action. They just kept coming. Think Pirates and Space have the best feel. Mean Machines seemed like the hardest table. Those billion sized scores look a long way away right now.

Never played this before. Had a quick go, and it's definitely incredibly impressive, specially how many cool and different tunes each table has.

And yet, these days it's a bit of a tough sell to me to play a Pinball game without seeing the whole table. This was as the norm back in the day, but now I expect something else. Of course, the Amiga feel of it still make it very pleasant.

It looks like a clear battle between Linesmachine and John4p looking at the old score tables. ;) Not too many players have survived from those days, but looks like Joni, Mike and Biscuit could be in the running.

Yes, I'm glad we finally arranged to dump the old weighted scoring system from those days. I was never happy with some players getting virtually no championship points at the bottom of the table, just because some players did well with the game, and it seemed to punish casual players for no good reason. Not that I'm expecting more than 1 point for my skills in this round!

With modern RTG games being made each year, how hard would it be to screen grab the table from a modern pinball game and convert it to the Amiga? It's only an image scrolling up and down, with a collision mesh behind it. I just feel the machine had so much more to offer than what we got, this game being the best example of the genre.

I thought there was an F-key to enter hi-res mode?

There are a lot of tips in the manual.

2009 I hit a huge combined score but then in 2016 I struggled to get half that. I think the competition is likely tougher these days.

I hope I get better than this, but got a little violent trying to hit the nudge buttons and ended up hitting CTRL-A-A and lost the scores haha. Putting it in just in case I lose it :)

Ah they were the days! I guess they're old enough to be retro themselves now...

I'll be streaming this on my Twitch channel on Thursday at 8pm GMT. Looking forward to putting that amount of time aside to hopefully get my pinball mojo back :)

And here's me addicted to Pathfinder: Kingmaker (thanks Epic for the freebies). It's difficult for me to play anything else. This game consumes me.

Without Acid and Rexsu, things are at least possible. There were simply too many mega mega ace players in those days to make it fun, and I found it frustrating.

I think that's definitely an oversight by the programmers. With emulations it's possible to remap the nudge keys to the Cursor up/left/right, this seems it could be a bit safer.

Looks like a team based Diablo RPG game. I'm still playing the Amiga RTG port of Heroes of Might and Magic II, now on the evil missions, so I guess this is another team based statistical strategy game.

I'll probably forget as usual, but will be watching at some point.

Right, Here we go, Score rush, Given that I had a couple of hours to inspect these tables and remember how useless I am at this. :P

Night Of The Demon - 62,960,000

Ace Of Space - 78,695,260

It's way deeper than that. It's based on the Pathfinder system, which is close to 3.5E D&D, with a kingdom management game on top. The closest game I can think of is Neverwinter Nights 2:Storm of the Zehir, but this is way better,

HOMM might be the series I spent most time with....ever. Too bad each one of them after 3 had some fundamental thing wrong. Never tried the 7th though.
