SWOS returns! We are doing something a little different this time, which will give players of all skill levels the opportunity to feel like a goal scoring superstar hero. There are different difficulty levels. You can increase the challenge by choosing a lower league team for extra points. Take a look at the rules for how it works. Will we see Norwich, Oxford or Hull topping the table?

Round Ends: 23:59 (UK Time) on Saturday 2nd April 2022

Rules:
:boing: Get the best score you can, during this round.
:boing: Post screenshots of your score in this thread, and write the score nearby.
:boing: Scores to be achieved without save-states, trainers, passwords, and cheats.
:boing: No continues or infinite score leeching.

For those of you that enjoy recording your games we can do a little best goal competition. Post as many videos of your goals from this super league round as you like, for the fun of showing off. Then nominate your best goal by Tuesday 29th March. It would be good to say what teams are playing. If there are at least 4 people entering, I will set up a quick 4 day voting thread that ends at the same time as the round ends.

Thanks LinesMachine for the idea.

Yeh I'm absolutely going to be posting a score with my beloved Oxford United. This should be really interesting!

Score: (6 * 6,000) + (12 * 10) + 3 = 36,123

I went with Burnley. I think they are in division 2 in this version, although we could have gone with the latest 2022 update?

The first few matches went well, with 2 wins out of 3, but then I played Liverpool and it all went wrong.

Probably no plans to improve on this score, as I don't enjoy this game. Best of luck to the others.

Just needed to adjust your goal difference. And they are division 2.

Score: (6 * 6,000) + (-12 * 10) + 3 = 35,883

Couldn't resist starting with Oxford United. A good run with only the last draw against Bolton being a particular disappointment. Already El Pasi has shown that a Division 3 team is going to win this round.

17 X 4000 = 68,000 + 90 + 13 = 68,103

thought I would try with the prem teams first. I tried Arsenal but didn't win every match so went with the big hitters Newcastle. The fire power upfront is awesome. I had a couple of scares with a late winner against Chelsea and after missing a pen and having a man sent off against Liverpool i still managed to win 2-0. The last match was my worst as i lost Shearer and Beresford to injury and Lee was still suspended. Overall a good score. Next I will move down the divisions.

That score surprised me. I was worried this would be too hard. Should be a good battle between the top players using some unusual teams. I'm gonna try to crack 50,000 somehow. Will go with a division 1 team next and see if I can get anywhere.

Newcastle are an amazing team to play with aren't they? I used to go ATTACK with Ferdinand, Shearer, Ginola and Asprilla all along the front line. Great fun! I tihnk Newcastle are the highest rated prem team in this version of SWOS?
