When this first came out in 1990 on the PC it pushed some boundaries. 640x400 hi res and great sound support (roland) + digital.
Amiga version eventually got released in late 1991 and what a disappointment. Yes, you expect less color gfx and lower resolution but they have redrawn the pieces in a cheap crude way. For some reason it also runs on a A500 much slower than the DOS version on a 8mhz 286.

If this game would have been a challenge at all, I would have sung its praises all day. I have played Stratego for a long time, and I love the game. If you're new to the game, or only play once in awhile, you'll love this version of Stratego. If you're a more serious player, however, this game will bore you quickly, as even on the most difficult settings, the game AI is not programmed very well and easily beaten.

Stratego is the computer-version of the boardgame. The game is transferred to the computerscreen very well. Graphics are clear and okay and the options give you some extra control over the game. If you like the board-game, this is your cup of tea. If not, then this will not be software for you.
