Fantastic game with great depth, although could be frustratingly slow on an unexpanded Amiga.
Great hypnotic hammond organ tune in there as well!

Good game management, difficult to understand its mechanism in the beginning. I liked the transition day night.
Graphics: 7

Sound: 8 (nice musics)

A time consuming game. Sim City looked like a children game in comparison at the time. A-Train was really deep and hard. But if you like to spend hours building a city (and railroads), this game is for you. Or you can go trainspotting…

Actually, this is a game that will take you by surprise after some time. In the beginning you really can't see the depth of the game, but it grows on you, if given time. A strategy game with a personality...8 out of ten, and now get me on the night train out of here.

Slow, very slow. I remember my dad leaving it on overnight once to build up enough money so he could build new tracks and buildings! And does anyone remember the guide to it? It was 3x thicker than the manual!

No wonder why Transport Tycoon wasn't released on the Amiga. Also a worth playing game anyways, but it might bore you at some time not knowing what you should do at the start.
Edit: The real reason of Transport Tycoon not being ported to the Amiga is because that game was made during the dying days of Commodore who made the Amiga. Ironicly, some commercial games was made at the times, so to me that's not an excuse for no Amiga conversion.

Descent game. My pal loved it but I was more into Railroad Tycoon which I felt was better.
6/10.

Complex and engrossing, wide ranged but pretty, incredibly detailed...but maybe a little unfocused....this is A TRAIN...seem to recall once gettting past the occassional quirkyness of the gameplay having much fun with this...surely was one of the best MAXIS games from their early days.... 81/100 For Mine...

Complex, deep and cute (those tiny graphics were really adorable, weren't they?). And not exactly user-friendly, but still great. You could really do a bit of everything here, and each single one of those bits of everything was cool. A little cult game.

This game A-Train really reminds me of Sim City and Railroad Tycoon. This is a lot better, building and upgrading houses and big buildings, as well as golf course, stations of course, Musement Park and Stadium and that's and even buy stocks so you can get more money if the price comes up, which also reminds me of the game Stock Market, which I don't know if anyone knows it, but it's also on the Amiga. I always love train simulation games, and this is the best, much better than Sim City. I'll give this game a score of 10.

It's Sim City, no, it's Railroad Tycoon. In fact I don't know what the hell it is. Neither did the game itself as it happens.
