The fast-paced platform at its best! Pure action, pure fun! The graphic is poor, isn't? Yes, it is. But this is a perfect fit for this kind of game! Who would need a standout detailed layout, with parallax backdrop, complex sprites, refined color nuances, original enemies when you don't even have any time to contemplate that scenery? In other masterpiece platforms, such as Fire and Ice, it makes sense to have the sunset effect and other cute details, because Cool Coyote has more time to explore the levels in order to find and rescue puppies. But Tearaway...he is a sheer gem-collector! He has no time to look at the landscape!

"We can make a platform game run as fast as Sonic on an A500!" was the line that accompanied this game back in the day. Well, mission accomplished, congratulations, here's a cup of coffee, go home. Next!

Very bad game!

Very fast platform game! It was a little repetitive but the sheer speed of it allied to the time limit made this quite an exciting little game to play. It was a game that gave us (me, my brother and a group of friends) quite a rush during a few months in the gone year of 1992...

Crazy speed makes this one a little different to the average platformer... Its far from classic, but its a good fun, fast and simple little game

Bad controls, uncontrollable hectic jumps, bad collision detection and a too short timelimit make this game unenjoyable.

Meh. It's too fast to be playable - it feels like it's running at double the proper speed. There's hardly any time to react to anything.

Such a fun game, very challenging and so crazily fast! Catchy music and pretty good level designs. It's just nice to finally see a fast-paced game that isn't automatically compared to Sonic! It's not too similar to anything else, which is great. All the more reason to give it a go!
My brother loves this one too!

Played this one in 1995 .. Never heard of it before and I was really impressed by its speed, colourfull graphics and gameplay..

Fast paced action as it's best! Some of these levels were done with the famous statement "phew! Only 1 second left!". Played this one to bits and even getting so far into the game to be killed still made me want to go back to the start! A lesser known gem.

This game is brilliant and I find it difficult to explain why I think it's so good. Is it the frantic pace? Or the cute, colourful graphics? The spot-on control method? The "just one more go" factor? No, it's all of them! Totally underrated but I reckon this is the best Amiga platformer ever........

Very few platform games on the Amiga have as much speed, charm or character as this, and it really is great fun, especially as a break from more advanced games. If a big company had released this any really got behind it from a marketing perspective, it could've been huge. My nickname should tell u how fond I am of it.

Enjoyable little game, this didn't pretend to be revolutionary, ultra-cool or anything else and just did what it was designed for: entertain people. Cute.
