Even with the digitised cutscenes from the movie, the game feels so, well, underwhelming. Not a trace of the insanely epic action of the movie. The horizontal shooter level is one of the worst sequences I've ever seen in an Ocean licensee.
I also don't see why all the praise for the barely passable graphics. I mean, the Amstrad CPC version looks impressive, being so close to this one, but we're talking about two different generations here! The best-looking part of the whole game is a digitised forearm that isn't quite credible to pass it off as Schwarzenegger's.

Even as a kid I was a massive Terminator fan and had to have this game! I failed to heed my console loving friends who warned me that Ljn had never made a good game of a film. The graphics are good, even the tiny video clips! The music is good. The gameplay sucks! The beat 'em up sections are impossibly hard after the first level, the vechile sections are Okay but mess with your head, and the puzzle sections feel out of place.
While this is masses better than any of the console T2 games, it is still bad. For a good T2 game, stick to the arcade game.

I like this game! Good and old memories!

The music (whenever there was any) was great. The puzzle stages are excellent for its time. The animations are pretty good. Controls are fast and responsive. The game fails because it was never intended to be a game, but a movie ad.

Intro is nice, the rest of this game however is awful!!!!

This game is terrible...extremely repetitive.. Very simple ... Having missed this back in the day, but having a big two page preview in my ACE magazine i always thought this game would be much better. I boot it up on my real 500 and apart from the digitized graphics which are pretty cool for back then, my whole reaction to the game is like WTF? How can a game like this be released at all is beyond me....

Nice start up. I could never really get into this even though there was a nice variety in levels. It just failed to grip me.

Nice & simple game, you could finish this in 15 minutes or so
The variety of levels made it fun for me back in the days...

As movie license goes I thought this game was above average. Unfortunately it didn't capture any of the atmosphere of a game in space or mars.
The coders also put in a text message" English.Sheep.Shaggers.from.London.1989. In the program file. Very subtle from the Ocean guys.

I got this for Christmas '91 I think. And I KNOW this game gets a lot of flak, and it's very simplistic, it is only a few silly levels, and once you get a hang of it, you beat it very easily from the first screen to the last. BUT it also looks great (I think, anyway), and like others here, back then I DID have fun with it.

I loved playing this game but beating this game was very painfull. I only finished this game once after month of playing.

Yet another one of Ocean's attempts to make you part with your money through licensing a movie title. Mediocre at best.

This was kind of fun for awhile until I got tired of never beating it

I completed this game and thought that it was OK. Of course, there's nothing spectacular, just average beat 'em up game and average racing game plus two nice puzzles. By the way, pirate version and final one had different face puzzles. The screenshot here is taken from pirate version.

Releasing crap like this game should be punished!

Poor game design, but I loved the digitized 2-second-movie-clips! (59%)

I had fun with this game when it first came out, but it's really not up to snuff when compared with games out there today. A lot of Amiga games have stood the test of time - this isn't one of them.

Like some sort of bad Public Domain game that somehow got released. Really mud.

About the poorest game ever...

Surprisingly good movie conversion . A bit easy to complete though.
