Full of bugs. Origin disregarded Amiga. For instance, ships disappeared after being in a town... What a shame!

Agreed, it was my first thought too when I heard "One".

The music reminds me of Metallica's "One" for some reason.

Excellent game, great story. I loved the music and i hated it for starting over each time i picked up an item or opened a chest. Still, it was worth it.

VBR, use WHDLoad...

Probably my favourite version of U5. The C64 version had variety to the music, which was lacking in the Amiga version, but the C64 version just loaded too slowly to be as enjoyable as this one.

Compared with other Amiga Ultima ports, this one is rather crappy. Unlike Ultima 4, for example, it is a take-over-the-system style game (not HD-installable).

As almost every Ultima episode a true masterpiece -- and (in opposition to its successor) highly playable on A500

This game was so amazing and influential in my understanding of the fantasy genre and RPGs that it's hard to know what to say about it. If you are a fan of RPGs at all, especially if you like the old classics, you owe it to yourself to pick up this game and play it all the way through. Play it on the Amiga, though - the PC versions lack the amazing music and the speed is off. Even if you emulate, this game is worth buying an original (if you can find it) just for the spectacularly done manuals, map, and extra "token" (it's a coin in U5, and an ankh in U4) that made even opening this game a pleasure.

I bought this but never really played it, so no vote. Hmm... Maybe I should? This was from the times when games came with big, informative manuals, and Ultima V even threw in a metal token and a cloth map! Nice

Bettered only by Ultima VII on the PC (they stopped after 6 on the Amiga) here we have an interactive world where if you get a little bored you can go off and do things you shouldn't.. Large explorable world where the simple but attractive graphics allow almost everything to be used.. Greatly atmospheric tunes (missing in PC version) and most importantly good story.. Shame about the mazes though.

Can't be faulted 'though I preferred the C64 version. This is a classic game and one of the all time best. What a story!!!
