This game was just simply too slow for my liking the killing game show was so much better!!

Graphics are heavily inspired from Psygnosis games, even a Roger Dean-like typeface is in there.

Hmm, this game must've been coded under pressure...

This was one of the first games I ever got for the Amiga. It seemingly had everything - cool weapons, good graphics, big sprites. However, a lot of little flaws add up to make this a pretty mediocre game when it's all said and done. The levels are actually pretty simple - start on the left, walk to the right. Nothing special there. The sprite itself is also pretty unwieldy - it never seems to hurry, just plods along, and one mis-jump means instant death... Quite the frustration when you only have one life. The clunky nature of movement in the game keeps it from being really enjoyable... Try a different shooter instead.

When this game came onto the market, it was advertised as the game with the BIGGEST main-sprite in any shooter! I remember Electronic Zoo for being very eager to break some barriers at that time. They also made the fastest horizontal shooter in those years. I can't remember the name, I'll find that out, but I do remember that that game was unplayable! Just too damn fast! And then you wonder: "Why?! Why in godsname does a company want to make games, just for the advertisement-blahblah"? What you are left with is games which were never before made by others, because they just don't work! Now to Under Pressure, the game with the largest main-sprite. Is it large? Yes, it is pretty big. Ít takes up half of the hight of the playing-area. But does your largeness have big advantages? No! After playing this game you whish you were a bit smaller! You have very little overview, because of this feature. Enemies are popping up in front of you when you are pretty close. Also the gameplay is annoying with your ability to pass lasers and big doors opening and shutting as the key element in parts of the game. You have some nice varying weapons at your disposal in the game and a shield. Graphically this game is not that good. Sounds are okay. If you want to say that you own a game with a big main-sprite... This is for you. Otherwise... Look for one of the many better shooters out there for the Amiga!
