Yeeeah...the cute speech helped this game enormously....to a point. But after a while it got a little repetitive and no amount of cute digitised speech can help that.

'It's a sweetie'... 'my arm hurts'...
Slow but engrossing top-down talkie adventure. Recommended.

"Fantastic presentation but just far too slow and boring." was my original comment on this. Well, I have to admit that I've been forced to revise it. Yes, this is very 8-bit in feel and those trapped rooms are inexcusable but there's a real satisfaction from working out the puzzles and solving them; it all reminds me a bit of the classic children's TV gameshow "Knightmare". I can understand why some people don't like this but give it a go.

I love that game

I only played the demo of this game, but if the whole version is exactly the same, it's a really tiresome game. Everytime you do something, the game hangs, loads, and you hear your hero say "I can't do that" or "Incredible!". It's nice hearing it for the first time, but imagine you'll have to endure it through the whole game... Next to that, the hero walks really slow. Good luck staying awake for at least five minutes when playing it. This game was overhyped in the English magazines because the producers itself were based in England.

Another game I only ever played a demo of, but I think I did complete it! When it first came out I loved it and wouldn't leave it alone, but I soon started to think about it a little more as I got older. Was he a she or she a he? Why did it walk like it weighed about 23 tons? And were those it''s hands behind it's back all the time, or some sort of freaky tail?

Speech was a really nice touch but his voice became really annoying, did he not say "no, not here" continuously? Puzzles were quite ridiculous at times too and if you were hard of hearing you were up the proverbial creek without said paddle. I can picture myself, mouth agape, head turned to one side at the speaker trying to work out what in Hades the knights were saying! Was OK for all of 10 minutes.

This was a bit over-hyped at the time. The speech was a nice touch (there's even a mock-techno MOD track using speech from it called 'It's A Skull' available on AmiNet - well worth checking out), but the level designs were uninspired and the puzzles a bit finicky, Good, but not great, which is a shame because Vulcan put a lot of time into the Amiga over the next 4 years.

Quite impressive game for a game written in AMOS (that's what I read back in the Amiga Format days anyhow). It's a bit slow, but once you get used to the fact it's a great puzzler.
