It has one of the best title songs ever made. I still Listen to it today

Shadow of the Beast - The Ball Game. The graphics and the music in Ballistix are very similar to that other, more well-known Psygnosis game. This is not a surprise: Martin Edmondson and Paul Howarth worked on them both.

Not a bad game for a budget title. I picked it up for £4.99 I think. Was fun for a while and was a good laugh for 2 players.
I've just reviewed it on my site.
I'd give it 6.5/10

Nice game that defies any logic. It's a top-down perspective with graphics drawn that way, but the balls fall down as if the playfields were upright like a pinball machine.

This game proved that Howarth & Edmonson could create a game that was NOT insanely difficult.

Makes a decent two player game.

Innovative Gameplay, never played it in good old Amiga times. Graphics are OK and quite smooth, physics not as bad as in many other games... Sound somelike arcade some minor quality but OK, music is one of standard Amiga tunes... Good for a quick play.
GFX: for 1989 it's ~80%
SFX: could have been better, but OK ~75%
PLAY: good steering control, and physics feedback 82%
FUN: it is a quick game for a short time but not for longer 78%
ALL: 81% i'll vote it an 8
