Simply the best game ever on Amiga !
Everybody will say "Another world", "Flashback" and "SOB" are even better. Ok, I do understand what you mean but: playing Gravity Force requires a lot of training ! Its playability is just perfect and you are not allowed to make any mistake ! Any mistake leads to a crash which means time loss. I recommend that you play the missions in order to master the shuttle. After hours playing, you'll manage your shuttle like a juggler and will be strong enough to play versus other players (2 players game). You can give dogfight a chance (quite funny), but the game is huuuuuge when playing the races versus another good player ! Thousands hours laughing, I guarantee !
All sequels are bullshit in comparison ("Gravity Force 2", "Zarathrusta", whatever). Playability has no competitors ! ... And I have to deplore noone around was able to beat me at this game :/
Do more than just give it a try (even if the graphics are poor); this game is definitely worth playing (a lot !).

Excellent game, especially in 2P mode where battles are intense dogfights.

I haven't had as much fun with any other game as I've had with gravity force. My brother and I have spent hours and hours screaming at each other and tearing the joysticks apart while playing dogfight and race mode against each other. Loads of fun playing the single player missions, too - but the great two player mode is what pulls this game right up to to the top. Pure 10 from me :-)

I tried playing this with an adf image I downloaded. However, for some reason my ship flies right through rocks and bullets without crashing. As far as I know I have not turned on any trainer. Can anybody help?

The first game I played on my very own Amiga 500. I loaded it up as soon as I got home with it! The simple graphics and game idea makes it timeless.

Now we´ve got half live 2, san andreas, warcraft world aso. And nothing is really special. Here is one masterpiece that shows me the good old time of low graphics but much fun. The time is gone but GF got a place in my heart for ever. Give it a try, you´ll love it.

Gravity force ii/gravcity power was the greatest 2 player game on the Amiga, this is its prequel

Turbo Raketti was a Finnish homegrown production similar to Gravity Force. More levels, but not the same intensity as Dogfight 1 in GF.
This is my absolute favourite game on the Amiga. So many nights I played this for hours against my cousin and my brother.
The one player game is not too exiting though.

Altough graphics and other design aspects of this game are very poor, I must rank it at least 7 because of its great playability and fun. The last great clone of this game, "Roketz", had ray-traced graphics.

Asteroids on Acid. There's a reason the Amiga Power folks throught it was the greatest game ever. I'm not that big of a devotee, but still a lot of fun is to be had here.
