Simply a fantastic Amiga game, and the first game to put in place a lot of the standards that would later become fundamental to the RTS genre. Definitely not without its flaws, but these are very minor. Looks great. Sounds great. Plays great.

Highly overhyped game. Never understood, what's so great about it.

One of a kind strategy game. Amazing job does the atmospheric music plus speech comments given by your advisors and opponents. A truly great game with a completely unique approach and presentation.

The greatest game ever. Unique, very playable and complex in its simplicity. I've finished it maybe 20 times and it's still better and better! There's only one weaker detail - atomics coming too soon in sixth epoch if I remember well.
Underrated game, it should be at least in very top 3 (with the rest of sensible masterpieces - SWOS and Cannon Fodder)!

Just mind-blowing. Epic music (like "choose" or ingame) to a very straight story (annihilation). Back then, countless hours of escapism into this universe.

Although visualy nice, the game starts to be repetitive very soon.

I'm still playing this today. Enough said

A very enjoyable game once you got the hang of it. This was the first game I ever played that had the sort of technology tree system that gets you hooked, craving for that next set of inventions. Top notch graphics and a fascinating atmosphere all in all. The troops 'beaming' between blocks was a nice touch.

Brilliant game yet blatantly unfair. Computer opponents cheat big time, otherwise you can't explain how they can build structures so much quicker than you, even when you start with 80 men or something.

Classic amiga game, the voices were brilliant and a nice tough back then. I remember it had a bug that if you were fast enough you could take some people back out after being placed on the map.
Id like to see this made for the next gen but i can't see it happening.

If you're ever gonna play a 'strategy' game that sucks you in right away, without having to plough through a manual of galactic proportions, this one's highly recommended!
it's a sensible software production, meaning you'll instantly recognize the look, the feel and the humour of those games. Talking about humour, the speech in this game is hilarious ("ewgonomically tewwific!" ).
mega-lo-mania is a god-game, similar to the kinds of populous and the likes, meaning it's all about conquering the others and becoming the ruler of (in this particular case) the galaxy. Compared to some other god-games, mega-lo-mania is very direct and highly addictive. The action is fast, the difficulty level's just right and the game evolves and surprises with the passage of (in-game) time. Fun!

I always keep confusing this one with populous. This one was definitely better though.

Know that was a fine strategy game for that time. The atmosphere was great and everything fit. It's a must have for amiga owners

My favourite Amiga game of all time. Infinitely playable, funny, tense and addictive. Shame the sequel never materialised...

Great game, although a little confusing at times. A classic strategy. 8/10.

Aww man this is the godfather of all strategy games, very addictive, good GFX, great sound (loved the speech comments) but this game was challenging & has good elements to make this one of they best games on the Amiga, I still play it today!

Really good strategy game. Not much depth really, once you had a decent army you could just send them to each square on the map and that was it, but it was still fun just to see what inventions you could get.

Kinda cool .. One of the rts-grandfathers

'Do you want to come on my team?'. The strategic aspect of this game was actually quite shallow but it was still enjoyable due to it's charm, atmosphere and sheer style.

Very original of light strategy game. I wonder how they managed to make this so playable. I could not stop playing since the new inventions were so interesting. The gamer really got his reward when he finally enters into a nuclear war.

On of the best strategy games ever.

I really wanted to get into this but found it disjointed and confusing.

Bloody crap-game. The only thing good about it was the piccy which I used in some Sick Slideshow...

It's a real shame the planned sequel was never completed, as this is great fun, combining the best ideas from Populous, Sim City and more. It's extremely easy to get into and full of character and humour, and the way each level is short and compact, and split into easily-digestible chunks in itself, means that in never becomes overwhelming. The start of Sensible's streak of classics.

The speech is one of the many things which Megalomania adds to the strategy genre. The gameplay evolves nicely as you advance through it, and the control system is extremely intuitive. Ideal as a starter Amiga strategy game, although it's not as good as The Settlers or Civ.

Ultimate strategy/god game, before advance wars maybe, with humour and the greated in-game speech ever

Almost too fun to be an RTS, this combined a clever design with a humorous setup. And, being a game by Sensible Software, it obviously worked. A classic.

Another great game from those ever so Sensible chaps. Although it never had quite the endless replay value of Civilization, this was a great piece of work.

Like many god sims, far too easy when you know what you're doing. But great fun to play as you're learning, and the humorous samples add a lot to the experience.

Another Classic game. Nothing like watching a ton of little soldiers attacking a castle. One of the first milestones in the RTS genre. Unfortunately overlooked nowadays.

I liked that game very much. One of the first RTS so far, lovely graphics and good gameplay.
