The main sprite looks like a fat disfigured clown. Another Amiga game with a unlikeable main character.

Despite the poor protagonist, the exploration style game play is good with well implemented controls and there is decent background music to create an atmosphere. An above average Amiga platformer. Try it!

The learning curve is very gentle indeed however from level five the things become more complicated,I've been stuck at this level for several days,so this is not a quiet ride.I think the best feature of this game is the excellent levels design, without detracting the graphic & sound section which I think is very good. This game is another good example of how it was slaughtered and buried by the Amiga Power magazine,I wonder how many people have not played great games because of this magazine.

Just found this one. Bright, colorful, fun. Well thought-out levels with controls that feel ok. Pleasant music & sound effects.

More than meets the eye. The in-game graphics and that dopey title screen might indicate a generic, even sub-par platformer, but the great level design, the excessive attention to detail and the overall smooth and polished gameplay make for a surprisingly addictive experience. Definitely worth checking out, if you're even the least bit into platformers.

It may look and sound dull, but I've seen few better-designed platform games on the Amiga - it's exceptionally well-made, with huge, varied levels, tight control, interesting items and powerups, and thoughtfully-placed enemies and obstacles; the only real flaw that I can think of is the "constant" enemy damage, but it's hard to dwell on that when everything else is so right.

One of rare cases the first surpasses the sequel, better graphics (and music) tho sometimes boring and pointless, like Nicky 2. Yes, sort of Cassano in Wonderland. For platform fans and no one else..

I bought this for my niece when she was little. We loved playing this silly little game. Certainly, the animations are more interesting than you'd expect. And the gameplay has some oddly big hooks. Nice job on the part of the makers.

That was a surprise when I fist played it.. I wasn't expecting such an interesting platformer filled with enemies bonnuses and stuff! OK the graphics are mediocre and the sound so and so but in its heart this was such a great game!

Ohhh! I just love Nicky Boom! The little boy is so cute. This is what I call an Arcade;Adventure game. Played for hours and hours(and sometimes, cheating with the codes ) I simply adore the design of the game, and the music sounds wonderful in the 1st levels.

Yes, I agree - I played it yesterday for 5 hours non-stop, got to level 8. It is fantastic game, with nice graphics, delicate music and perfect level-design, FULL of secrets. It is the game, which follows the best traditions of its predecessors, like Jack the Nipper on C64, and is very similar to Magic Pockets, although is not a copy of it. I must recommend this game to all platformer-fans!

For some reason I played this non stop! I think the hook factor was the secret parts of the screen you could unveil to receive treasures. Cool platformer.
