It does have the usual string of technical problems that plagued every racing game that went through these guys, but fortunately the symptoms of "ICE-itis" are less pronounced than in Turbo OutRun. In the end the Chase HQ trademark element manages to keep the game quite entertaining throughout.

Another choppy conversion. Too much stuff going on the screen at the same time, and everything just looks so ugly.

Quite fun to play for a while and very good on the technical side, nice graphics too, good shooting-racer!

Even patched to 60fps this game runs half as fast as the patched Chase HQ 1, which makes it very slow. On an A500 it moves a bit quicker than on the A1200 due to timing bugs. The arcade quality graphics are good, so is the music and sfx, and speech, but somehow the driving is still pretty bad. Not anywhere near as bad as Chase HQ 1, but still terrible. Even Cisco Heat was better to drive than this, and Cisco Heat is terrible. 6/10

One of my favourite amiga games of all time! Just really fun to play!

A lot better than the first! I like this one. It could have been even better, but it is a good game.

Why did this look... Erm... Flat to me? Anyway, the follow up to Chase HQ with very little else added in. That's about it really!

A bit jerky but still playable and quite addictive anyway. The car sounds really good too and the graphics are quite attractive.
Definite improvement on the awful original

The original was far better.

Not a great conversion but a decent game on its own. Miles better that CHQ1 on the A500. Graphics were nice but the updating was slow enough (the real step down from the coin-op). The story was good though. I could never clear that last level but my brother managed it 2 or 3 times! 6.5/10

How about that sampled speech when you pull over a crook aye! Hehe - 'All your base' eat yer heart out.

Nice one! Primitive graphx but VERY playable! Nice touch to let the chopper do rocket drops - although some autofire action was much more effective. I loved to play this over and over hammering the badguys to hell with a "machinegun".
How the **** did anyone manage to rescue the girlfriend in the end??? Let me know!

Hehe I dotn care what people said about the game whether it be on here or in magazines but I liked playing it, it was nowt special but I got hooked on it

Slightly better than the previous episode but neverthless it still remains a pale imitation of the enjoyable coin-op.
The main problem, a part the loss of a lot of the original game details, is that on the Amiga the "driving phase" is much more shorter than its arcade counterpart and not so well realised. This spoils what otherwise would have been a good conversion.
Another missed occasion from poor I.C.E. Programmers.

Chase HQ II is the best, lot better than the first one because you can use guns to shoot at the criminal driving fast, still you can crash into him. Also with boost which I forgot to mention in the first one, you can have 5 boost on number 2 but on the one you can have three. But still pretty awesome to play both, but the second one looks impressive.

This game rocked in the arcades, and I wanted more than anything to play it at home. CU Amiga / Amiga Power said it 'drove like a brick'. They were right.

How on earth did ICE keep getting programming contracts? They kept churning out *awful* conversions of great arcade racers. SCI was a blast in the arcades, but this conversion - rendered lovingly in ICE's trademark sloppy, jerky, about-three-frames-a-second 3D graphics engine - is absolutely woeful. It's not quite as bad as their previous conversion of Turbo Outrun, but that's like saying Pol Pot wasn't quite as bad as Hitler. Avoid like the plague. 2/10.
