Second best football game I played on Amiga and I played quite some. Great game physics though the animations were quite minimalistic - whatever. This enhanced the dynamics of a football game, which comparable games lack.
Some moves were instant game winners, improved in the next part of the series, KickOff 2.
I had this one pirated, but would have bought it if I had the money as a student.

Avoid this one at all costs

Excellent to the age. We (kick off world) are working on remake right now. Dino Dini published his remake this year too. But its a bad work.

What a classic ! Dynamic shots ! Pixel perfect passing ! Great running duels ! Even with some advantages to the 2nd part (skin colour/goalie mistakes & blatant dive mode) ! Thank you dino dini ! 9/10 !

One of my favorite game ever. I have a lot of fun replaying both kick off. This one has something special in the ball physics and movement that give a realistic touch i appreciate comparing to his brother. I do also like the graphics in kick-off 1 that are less dark than in the sequel. Both Kick off are great, but This one is my favorite. A shame there is only tournaments on kick-off 2 nowadays.
I've tried sensi series, but never get into it.
Even better with kick-off extra time with effects !!!

Completely overrated and too fast to be playable with bad controls.

Simply the most enjoyable soccer game on Amiga

Fantastic soccer game. Even better than the maybe overvalued sequel "kick off 2"

For me the original Kick Off is the best football game ever (I haven't tried Goal though). KO2 was starting to get too far from real football, the players moving too fast (more like free electrons than players), and this 'after touch' thing was quite fun, but then you ended up using it constantly, which allowed you to score every goal almost the same way. Kick Off 1 was more simple in a way, but more difficult to master, without the aftertouch goals looked more natural and varied, and you had to rely more on your instinct (which took weeks of practice).

Simply the best soccer game before KO2 arrived

The best football game before kick off 2 . I remember 18 years ago when I first saw that game I was amazed from the graphics and of course the gameplay . When I finally bought my Amiga 500 I couldn't stop playing this masterpiece. You should all try "kick off-extra time" which adds the aftertouch option . I still remember the crazy referees and how difficult it was to master . 10/10 Unforgetable Exprerience for sure !!!

The first football game I played on the Amiga, at least the first one I remember playing. And I played it a lot! Didn't have my own Amiga back then, but a lot of the neighbouring kids had, and there was always someone up for a match.

Next to perfection, reached with Kick Off 2. Unforgettable.

Ah what a classic! The original Amiga footie gem. Was surpassed by its sequal and then Sensi but this was the only game in town in its day. I loved the way you could guess how many sendings off there'd be in a game depending on which ref you had - like real football nowadays!

If you like this...try Player Manager...it makes you crazy!
This is the beginning of excellent football games...

It is a classic & one of the first best footie games to come onto the Amiga. Simple GFX but yet addictive fun

A classic.
This was the greatest footie on Amiga before Kick Off 2 and Goal
(this last the real Kick Off 3). The first soccer game with the ball
not clued on player. I spent weeks on it.

Great football game, had an interesting glitch in the form of a ball boy.

This is where it all began! Hard to master, but ultimately incredibly rewarding (especially when you get to KO2!).

Anco asked Dino Dini who is not a football fan to make this game. This should have been a failure, but for some reason gameplay is very good. Perhaps it was a pure good luck... But the game is more realistic than other games at the time: players actually kick a ball when they run with it (instead of ball being clued on player as in Microprose Soccer)

Had hours of fun with this very nice soccer game, but my friend had even more fun: I lost VERY often...

When I (or rather, my mom) bought my Amiga there were some boys playing this game at the store. I thought, "Wow that looks like a nice soccer game - perfectly sized players and all". The "Extra time" add-on disc throws in the much needed aftertouch controls to the ball and that made the game even better. It's not that much different from Sensi Soccer, in my opinion. A classic.

This was the greatest footie on Amiga before KO2 came and took the crown which was eventually stolen by all-mighty Sensible Soccer. KO is memorable for two points. Firstly referee T. Bolan who saw red all the time and secondly for the fact USSR was so utterly over the top you hardly never won it. If you somehow managed to score the first goal you had to pull back and try to defend your lead by all means possible.
