All my other pinball games are on MS-DOS and Windows, and Obsession stands quite proudly among them. I love pinball, and this plays really well. Nice graphics, nice music.

It's not a bad pinball game, all in all, but not quite as good as Pinball Dreams and Fantasies or Slam Tilt. The tables are okay apart from the Bats n Balls table which I actually enjoy playing very much.
Better than the very basic pinball games, but not as good as the more famous ones.

Oh and if this game didn't run on the ocs A500 then I'm guessing it needed at least 1mb of chip ram to run. (The 1mb A500 had a mixture of chip and fast or slow ram.) So yeah it would run on A500 plus and upwards

In real life (LOL)... OK, back in the day, I gave this game a miss. It came too late into the Amiga's life and for some reason it wasn't compatible with the bog-standard A500 (ran in everything else, from A500+ to A4000). I also read a few magazine reviews which said that it was good, but not nearly "Digital Illusions" good. And, since I was already off to a i80486DX2 at the time, I decided not to bother at all with this. Maybe because I never owned it back in the day, I never felt compelled to try it via emulation all these years after. Nostalgia plays a big role in these things, you know? But the graphics did look nice and the game sort of oozed a "Digital Illusions" feel (it was also Swedish and everything), so recently I decided to give it a try. It's a well put-together, well programmed little game. The tables aren't very interesting, though, and - natch - the ball physics aren't up to par with the Digital Illusions' games. So, all-in-all, this game confirmed everything I thought about it. The magazines were also right, this time around. A good game that's not good enough to be great.

Three of the four tables in Obsession are almost on par with Digital Illusions' Pinball Fantasies, the game it most closely resembles. With the exception of X-ile Zone, the table designs are solid. Music is great on all four tables. Most importantly for any pinball game, the ball coding leaves nothing to be desired. A department the game is a bit lacking in is sound: Effects for ramps, traps or bumpers are limited and sometimes sounds a bit weak. Hitting certain targets therefore lacks a distinct "oomphh". Overall a very good game though.

Never played this one, but for the standard Amiga the ball looks nice and shiny like a real pinball should.
On pinball fantasies and Dreams on the A500 the ball doesn't look as good.

This was a surprise for me! When we got this game, I was quite impressed. It has a different feel to the other more well known titles, but once you are used to it, there is a solid pinball game here with some nice GFX and sound!

This is a very well done pinball game, the graphics are really good, and all is OK, except that after have played games like pinball dreams etc, you feel the ball a bit "heavy", but sill a very good game 8/10.

Yet another Swedish pinball game, not the best but still good. Originally developed on the Atari Falcon!
