Another Oil-Challenge between my brother and me! - A Wonderful Time!!!

This game ruled the day! A true classic! Get it and play it forever!
And keep listening to the intro tune before you press fire. It's just too great to be skipped away to fast. I often kept listening to it while I was doing something else because of it's happiness and durability.

Playing the game for the first time since the early 90ties I am...very disappointed (I really loved if in the old times, even bought it). It is way to easy to win, the computer opponents do not stand a chance even if you make some rookie mistakes. The mini games mostly suck after playing them a couple of times and not all of them can be avoided. Most of the other stuff (sabotaging oters, protecting your own properties) are just not necessary to win...so all you do is buying oil fields & tanks, sell the oil and invest immediately the earned money (annoyingly by the detour expertise). For me its one of those games who live by the memory but are not fun anymore today

Great business simulation. Not as good as the C64-version but at least as addictive. J.R. ? Who the f**ck ist J.R....???

One of the first games I ever played. Back then I could hardly even read or do the math required for this business simulation. I played it with my siblings and didn't even mind loosing every game we played. I was completely awestruck with the colorful graphics and the feeling of doing "adult business".

Me and my bro spent so many hours on this fine game, so it'll be wrong not giving it a 10!
As for drilling, we used to apply full pressure for starters, and then slightly decrease it as you go deeper (i recall the last bit is insanly hard to control). With enough cash you won't have to worry about drilling though, since you can just get someone else (poor guy!) to do it for you!

Erm.. I still like to play all of my amiga games so.. Is there any way for you to control the drill, so that it wouldn't always break so easily..

One of the best financial strategy games. The only bad thing is that the map always the same is.When you find the best lands with oil you can restart the game and only buy this one!
