The first pinball from another world. Second greatest!

It was great to own this before I got a Playstation. This is the beta version of True Pinball. It has three table: Law n Justice, Extreme sports and Babewatch. The first two are where it's at, with the Babewatch being a bit rubbish. The presentation is out of this world and the music should be on a New Order album. It reminds me of a techno Blue Monday. Brilliant.

The best of the trilogy for me, Viking the tales the best table. The intro and the music is simply awesome. Must have!

Good game this but not quite as enjoyable as Slam Tilt or Pinball Fantasies. Law & Justice is okay, Extreme Sports I enjoy the most (especially its tune) but Babewatch is a real letdown.

Good but not great, 7/10

It is too bad the Vikings table didn't make it into the Amiga version of Pinball Illusions. I played the game a lot and actually prefer slightly over Pinball Fantasies. Pinball Dreams is my favorite among the three pinball simulations developed by Digital Illusions for Amiga systems.

One of the last Amiga games I bought, and it was one I fired up the Amiga often for when I wasn't playing Wolfenstein 3D or Doom on my new PC I'd just bought. I remember this being one hell of a visually polished product. Very stylish presentation too. Still, I found myself ultimately loving Fantasies more. I'm sad that I didn't wait for the CD32 version since my floppies died after a short time.

I tried the PC version and couldn't get it to run.

Another excellent pinball from DI, I like it less than its predecessors because this time there is one table I did NOT like: Extreme Sports, maybe because of that horrible music which cannot be removed unlike in its predecessors. But the 3 other tables (well... Two on the Amiga) are excellent as usual. My favourite is Law'N'Justice. No, not because of the theme (I don't like it), but because there are lots of things to do on the table, and 8 modes to complete !!!

Got very slightly worse then Fantasies. Shame but then again the music and intro sequence has never been better, the gameplay is still very good indeed! 9/10.

IMHO, the best of all pinball games. The music was perfect in everything, the ball physics too. Unbelieably detailed gfx.

Technicaly the game is really good but what's the point of playing pinball on a computer/console? From that point I really prefer title like the Pinball Adventure series (not on Amiga) wich try to had some original elements to the classic pinball game.

The CD32 version is great, but I don´t understand why they put the original MOD tunes on CD track?? Ok, there are some CD32 specific tracks as well, but still.... I remember the PC CD version came with the vikings table but not the PC floppy version, how come they never bothered to put the vikings table on the CD32 disc as well??

Slam Tilt is a much better game than this by the way.....

Multiball era has come! Top tables: Extreme Sports (oh, man!), Babe Watch (wanna ride, babe? ), Law'n'Justice (run, run riot). It's a pity that the fourth table (The Vikings) which was available in PC version didn't make it on Amiga... It's also a pity that this installment was not thoroughly tested and is the most irritating of all.

Yep, yet again building on the franchise with another fantastic pinball simulation. Lots of new gimmicks, keeping up with the pinball world.

Bold & Beautiful (No, not the show). This is my all-time favourite pinball game for any system, and that itself states that this game is pure quality. I even like the tables more than tables at Pinball Fantasies. Beautiful graphics, good music and awesome physics, a complete package.

A great all round package, though the tables lack the fine tuning when compared to Pinball Fantasies.

Having played the first two pinball sims from Digital Illusions on my A500 for hours, I was really looking forward to emulating this game in WinUAE. Alas, I was somewhat disappointed. Though graphically superior, Illusions doesn't live up to its predecessors when it comes to table design and playability. On all three tables the action is quite repetitive: hit the ramps and rack up some points - that's pretty much it. Granted, Illusions does sport a number of sub-games on each table, but these are so easy to activate that they blend in with the overall tediousness of the rest of the gameplay.
The in-game music is also a letdown when compared to the catchy tunes from Dreams and Fantasies and ranges from bland to downright irritating.

All this having been said, it should be made clear that Illusions isn't a bad game by any standards; the graphics are beautiful, the ball movement is near-flawless and the multiball feature is an excellent addition. It's just that Pinball Illusions doesn't live up to the great legacy established by its predecessors.
Overall: 7/10
