I liked it. It wasn`t as addictive as Championship manager but it had certain features which were pushing you to play this game.
I used to play this with friends and we had a great time.

This was a lot of fun back then. Plenty of things to do and the stadium expansion was a nice touch, seeing it go from a poor Div 3 stadium into a world class Premier one! The game wasn't too difficult which was probably it's downfall. You could normally take a Div 3 team into the Premier in successive seasons. Still a really enjoyable footy manager game though. 7/10

Quite liked this one, trying to take a non league side to the pinnacle is always a good challenge. Liked the ability to improve the stadiums as well. Good stuff, probably 3rd football management series to be any good behind the Champ Manager 2 and Sensible World Of Soccer.

Not as simple is PM1 and for this, loses some of the charm. Takes too long to get going and the matches, if I recall correctly, took ages to play even when sped up. Not a bad game but PM1 is the daddy. I even had the editing disks with this game (bought sperately) which potentially could have made this game immortal, but alas I remember having trouble saving my changes (bugged perhaps?)

Boy, did I play this game a LOT! First of all, I really like all kind of manager games and this was just one of the best out there back then. It still is excellent today but topped by the likes of Championship Manager. All in all, a great experience to play, lots of options and great fun.

This was much more complicated than the first 2 in the series, with an initially beguiling myriad of options to work through, and a real difficulty in findign a winning combination. The way there's only one promotion place from the conference, coupled with the way that improving your club's status lets you hire a bettee asisstant manager (who does more of the work for you) means that the difficulty curve is a mess. It's still a really good game, and worth taking on once you've mastered PM2, but it's a step backwards for the series.
