I second that. A terrible interface to find and accept missions. Elite (both 8-bit and 16-bit versions) had a way better interface and a similar one could have worked here, too.
Owning the manual did not improve that much.
Title music by Ben Daglish rocks though.

Sorry, no. Too demanding, dispersive and unrewarding, and I'm too old and busy to spend weeks on it before seeing anything happen that could spark a little sense of achievement.
Also the control method and key bindings should be thrown away and redone from scratch: it's overly prolix and counterintuitive, not to mention totally unsuitable for space combat. Warhead was as much as I could stomach with regard to controls, and this is way worse.

I'm pretty sure this would have been a great game for me back then if I only managed to get the original with a manual ...

This game captured my imagination... I never did get into elite, but there was something compelling about this title. Its whole gfx and music style really clicked for me, its just the game felt like it was not quite finished lacking a story driven game. Still was great though

Lots of potential, but I could never get anything done.

Loved the idea of the game, and the little programming language, but never really got into the game itself, a shame, as others said, it could have been so good.
One thing I did LOVE tho, the title tune, still remember it today (and just grabbed it and played it on delitracker...ahh the memories!)

Sure, it's an Elite ripoff, but with some good ideas added on top - and with quite a number of keys to remember.
Might have become a true classic, but the opportunity was wasted, I still like it though and played it a lot, when it was new.

Could've been better than ELITE, but suffered from the tedious controls and very short term fun. (71%)

Had this game been finished properly, this could have been THE game which beated Elite. But it wasn't. What a shame.

Hugely promising ELITE rip off, but infested with bugs that deflated the exciting premise. I remember that gremlin did offer an update (or rather a replacement disk back then) but things didn't light up too much after that, I m afraid. Considering it came from gremlin it just a shame. Chalk up another "rushed in time for x-mas" release!
