It's rough around the edges and very tough. But it's quite fun.

Love the style. The game had some nice ideas but imo the whole design is poorly executed and monotonous.

Try WHDload version - it's the best from all versions I've seen. I liked this game very much since it was one of the first games I ever played (not quite succesfully actually - it was a bit difficult even on very old PC (XT or 286, I don't remember)). Amiga version has advantages of better palette (palette cycling is so beautiful!), better gameplay ballance and so on.

Not a bad game! Quite annoying music that sounds like a cat singing while it's being liquidised in a blender but the gameplay is there (just). Loads quickly anyway and my 17 year old coppy is still going strong!

Star Goose! Is a classic game with some innovations at its time. By the screens the game may seem another shoot-em-up but... There is a 3D effect all over the scenary that is quite unusual, your goose crawls, climbs & descends over the floor and that affects to the shootings... Also there is some 3D tunnel sections that doesn't appear on the screens on the web, and are quite constant on the game (where u can get shield, ammo, and fuel), so u can get a wrong idea of this game seeing only this screens... The point of each level is to get all the gems of the level and a new 3D tunnel will teletransport you to the next one. Oh when u are inside a tunnel u are not on the surface so u can miss some gems, but don't worry the levels are circular, next time don't enter on the tunnel and look what u loose outside... Quite fun and innovative gameplay
But far from beinb perfect there are some little problems the game is hard, levels seem all the same and with Atari ST graphics (but at least they are quite cute), on this screens don´t lie... Also ST sound (with quite repetitive music so better choose FX sounds (F9)).
Anyway you should check this game because it's NOT another shoot-em-up.
