Could've been a lot better this one. It needed 1mb of chip ram to run so wouldn't run on an A500 1.3 - don't know why though as it wasn't that impressive aesthetically.
It's like they copied nearly every single element from Team 17s Overdrive, except making it even more difficult than that. Stupidly difficult as the computer cars were too good. Trying to pass them was often impossible and losing speed through damage was annoying.
That and the fact that all the turns were a boring 90 degrees and you were given only 1 measly continue made it a frustrating experience. 6/10

For me the best Amiga race game using aerial view. Faster than Supercars I & II, funnier than Overdrive, stunning GFX and musics with 50fps animation. And if you can connect 2 Amiga and try the 2 player mode with an old friend, you'll have really good moments (like in Overdrive that have the same option).

All these wonders have a price, Turbo Trax needs 1Mb Chip-RAM, making this game one of the few that works on most Amiga computers systems except A1000/A500

Strikingly similar to Overdrive (which came out first) in all respects, even beyond the fact they are both overhead racers. Slightly different sprites and track graphics, and a couple of extra vehicles in the race, but otherwise they could be the same game engine (including the same flaws i.e. A lack of 2 player mode and all corners being 90 degrees). And the box art is very similar too.

In my opinion, Turbo Trax is better than similar top-down racers like Nitro, Micro Machines, or All Terrain Racing. The graphics and vehicle controls feel a little more polished. The first few races are no too difficult as well. It isn't until later that the difficulty ramps up.

I spent a lot of time playing Turbo Trax and reaching to the final race is not a problem. But the opponent in this race is too good and beating him is impossible for me.

Nice graphics, fast and fun for a while.
But too hard! It gets very frustrating to compete against fully upgraded opponents, while you save up a lot of cash to upgrade your own vehicle, a simple crash will remove upgrades you already bought. To win you need to drive perfect(!), and when you and an opponent crash into each other, your car seems to be the only one affected.

It maybe polished, it maybe graphically competent with speed to match, but one thing it is not is fun. More games to add to the bin. They should take a leaf out of Super Sprint, All Terrain Racing, Nitro, Super Off-Road etc...etc...

Very polished graphically, and super slick smooth scrolling with speed! Its not an easy game, in fact its bloody hard at first. But its a good challenge if you stick with it. I liked it

As Guybrush Threepwood said, is reminiscent of the Run Over (a gem to me) but is not as good. Good graphics, good sound ... But very difficult. Almost unplayable.

Not bad, though Micro Machines (which I feel is the closest to compare it with) was slightly better.

Miles Visman was also the programmer and the gfx artist of the game TOP BANANA, so this is a quite good improvement for him. Nothing bad except the difficulty level.

I love this kind of game but it has an impossible difficulty just as superskidmarks, it can be that I don't know to play…
