"History Line" alongside with "Battle Isle" series is a typical turn-base strategy game for all of you who do not necesseraly like strategy games. It is very easy to get into the game's mechanics and the difficulty steep is well balance so you will not easily turn away from the product. A lot of cutscenes animations and important historic facts make this game even more interesting and each battle has to be won in order to see or read them. Advanced strategy games players may find it a bit to repetitive but they have more sophisticated titles.

Brilliant game, one my brother bought. Like Vegas (almost) said, a lot of fun in two player mode, which you might not expect with a strategy title, but it worked really well. There was naval combat as well, and the game was terrific fun; perhaps the first game I played that made me realise I could enjoy more than just action games.

Too hard for me, im really disappointed because I love these games and have a keen interest in the great war.

I was so proud to own this game...but for a beginner it was much to hard. Even in the first levels.

Well above-average turn-based strategy with good graphics (one of the few games to cater for the colour-blind too), functional sounds and ridiculous amounts of atmosphere supplied by plenty of between-level news updates and background detail. There were flaws: some battles could reach a slow, tedious near-stalemate at times and it was disappointing that you could only play as France or Germany rather than include battles featuring other Entente and Central powers.

Absolutley fantasic game, think Advance Wars set in WW1. Excellent strategy game with an excellent intro. These kind of games were better than my history teacher!

God did I love this game. I always had a "thing" for thwe first world war. I used to spend hours and hours playing this. I was never any good at it but I loved playing it so much. The fact you could play both sides was another big plus for me. The interface was not the best. One of the best Amiga games I ever had, even with all the disk swapping

Oh many THX to Kim for including HL to this site.
HL was imho the best strategy game for our lady AMIGA.
Try it, play it and feel the good old days of AMIGA.
"and fail an important test in school" :-)
