I gave it 9 because it is missing the intro which can be found on PC floppy version (and Amiga CD32 version).

Amazing adventure game. Released without any hype, no big advertising and it appeared to be a real gem in its genre. Absolutly stunning visuals make this game very appealing and highly enjoyable. Nice puzzles that not necessarily have to be solved in fixed order make this game really interesting and fun to play. The only flaw is lack of sound effects which was later added in CD32 version along way with full speech.

Ah, what a game! One of the all time greats. I started playing this back in 95, but could never get past the snowman back then. It took me another 13 years before I could complete it thanks to an Amiga emulator and a walkthrough on the net. What a game!

One of my favourites, absolutely. I remember Amiga format promoting that next month's cover disk would feature the StS game engine so one could create one's own adventure games. For some reason I never obtained a copy. Perhaps it was a hoax, or I misunderstood. I've always been a dreamer.

The only slightly annoying thing about this particular version is all the disk swapping. If you can, you're better off getting a CD version, or one that you can install onto your hard drive. Overall, this game is well worth playing! In my opinion, it's right up there with all the great LucasArts adventures. Still one of my favourite games today!

After reading an article in TotalPC gaming I became interested in giving this one a shot. Pretty good game with what would have been excellent graphics. I played it the difficult way, but it was worth it. The only bad part here is that certain places suffered from "hunt n' peck" syndrome or what Paradise suffers from. Without a walkthrough, I would have never known that there were certain objects in certain areas. Even armed with this knowledge, finding things (particularly a feather) was an event of clicking worthy of the olympics. Still this is an excellent adventure you should give a shot. Just install it to a hard drive and have some patience. Most of the puzzles make sense. Not all of them though.

The only thing annoying about this game was the fact that Simon moved sooo slooow. Part from that, this game is perfect in every aspect. Fantastic graphics and music. Great plot with just as much humour as any LucasArts game. If I didn't know better I'd say that this was a LucasArts game, because it's right up there battling with the best at the top.

Oh, and elend: There was an AGA version, but the ECS version was just as good really.

A great, GREAT almighty adventure game. Saying it ain't as good as Monkey Island is like saying Siamese Dream isn't as good as Superunknown. How profound.

This game has everything a point and click game could ever want. Beautiful Graphics, Comedy, and not forgetting the games music (which I LOVE)..spent hours and hours trying to get to the next section of the game, and when you do its like..''F*ck...it was that simple the whole time'' ..amazing game that every point and click fan should play.

9 out 10

Superb GFX, lush scenery, nice sound, decent adventure game but I've gotta admit my heart is with the likes of Monkey Island & some others simply because they were more engrossing in its genre. They were also out before Simon the Sorcerer. Games like Monkey Island, Future Wars, Operation Stealth, Zak McKracken & others. This is truly a nice game however to play!

Wouldn't it be great if they could make some of these adventure games into films today. Could you imagine.

This is one of the best adventure games made. No doubt about that. It's a shame (for this game, not for us!) that it isn't the best (I think). Monkey Islands and Zak MacKracken are better than this one. Why? Graphically Simon is the best. Extremely well drawn backgrounds and characters! Sonically also good, but it lacks the superb soundtrack of Monkey Islands! It's just as playable with one exception... The end! This game is very very good, until you get to the end. I was rather disappointed, because it seemed the story needed an end and it was over before I knew it. It just seemed to me the end had to be done in a hurry. But maybe that's just my impression. All in all, Simon the Sorcerer is a great game, no doubt about it and one of the best adventures!

Graphics: 10/10
Sound: 8/10
Playability: 9/10

Overall: 9/10

Wanted to give this 9 in a half out of Ten, but this is a very rememberable masterpiece, maybe not as popular as the Monkey Island series, but this has some great well-though original characters, and plenty of places to explore. Sadly we don't get adventures this entertaining anymore.
