Yes it's quaint. Yes it's programmed competently. Not a bad racer, actually. It either is, or it ain't your cup of tea though, because it gives the illusion of a 1920's lifestyle/pace. On playing this again a year later, I liked it better--I don't know why exactly. When the pedal is pressed to the metal, the animation really moves--I had difficulty keeping up. Unfortunately, I ran over a few people. Too bad--it cost me some 'repair time', and ultimately the race.
It's pleasant. For 1991, it's pretty. Good for some I'm sure; still not really my cup 'o tea though--maybe next year...

Uh-oh.. Why didn't they just use the same style as the arcade machine?

Just another dull Chase HQ pile of poop that Amiga was lumbered with

I really wanted to like this - it looks eccentric and charming. Sadly, despite some nice presentation, the game just doesn't cut it and the "gimmick" of stopping (seemingly at random) to change tyres and such is unbelievably annoying.

A real shame! This game could be really interesting, but driving part is really frustrating and boring. I'm giving it a 6 just for the atmosphere and...well, the mighty 1000 Miglia.

IMHO this game is too much frustrating and the control system leaves much desiderare. In Italy had positive reviews, but there is a lot better in turn.

It was a very good and hard game, but with a huge bug about fuel just in the middle of the game, so I've only finished on PC.
