This is a sorry excuse for a port, and the fact that someone did this, and said, "ship it" and then charged money for it, is a sad statement of the corners people will cut, just to grab a buck. This is shameful

C64 1942 was good, I played it a lot, it had great music and sounds, this is to C64 1942 in the same worse way as Amiga Bomb Jack is to its C64 counterpart, it's totally ugly to look at and uninspired.

I would like to hear their excuse for fucking up such a classic and easy to convert (IMO) title.
Shame on them.
3/10

'1943' is one of my all time favourite on C64. Avoid Amiga version, it's not really worth playing...

Pretty bad conversion. Don't bother play this crap, play the original arcade game in MAME instead.

Best thing about this game is the loading cover screen, need I say anymore? Another bad conversion for the Amiga. Gameplay even has a distinct lack of connection when your bullets hit the enemy. A shame.

Right - they F'd this one right up. The arcade machine was hardly a CPU intensive beast, it should have even been converted to 8-bit machines well. But it wasn't. The Speccy, C64 and Amiga versions of this game were a load of bilge.
Conversions like this really, really F*cked me off.
An absolute load of cack.

What a waste. An average coin-op that could be converted easily to the Amiga was a huge dissapointment. Go for the SWIV or Battle Squadron.

Yep, another poor ST port which meant gaudy colours and jerky scrolling. The arcade machine was nothing technically great so the Amiga should have handled it without problem! Laziness from Probe and Go once again.

Graphics of kinder garden quality, massive panel on the side ST style... Embarrassment to the community...avoid.

Another crappy conversion. On the first sight everything seems to be OK, but when you play it... You regret you did so. The game is repetitive. There are only three or four types of enemies and four different weapons which can be collected in quite weird manner. Music never changes. The module lasts for about minute and loops. After five minutes you have enough of listening to it and playing the game. No more words on that poor game.

As bad as a tiertex conversion!.. Utterly lame. 1/10...

Horrible game. Subpar graphics and sounds, and really boring gameplay. I should review it one of these days...

I've thrown many quarters in this machine at the arcade, but I was quite disappointed with the conversion. For some reason it just did not have that certain one-more-time quality that the original has...

A very poor conversion of a rather good arcade shooter. The C64 version wasn't good either, and this version does little to improve on it. Poor graphics, bad sound and just not fun to play. Also difficult to start out with and with all its limitations, you'll soon find better things to do.

I think it's alright. Fun enough. But with mame available, I'm not bothering with this anymore.

I have never understood why many producers found it necessary to put huge status bars on arcade conversion. Why not just over lay the score and lives on the main screen. Not that it makes any difference on this piss poor conversion. The Amiga had more than enough capabilities to recreate the arcade original. What a waste!

GO! Somehow always (well, usually) failed to success... I stick to C64 version of 1942.

Not a bad game really, I haven't got this on C64, the music sound a bit crap to tell you the truth, but it's still a good game.

A bit more improved than the C64 version but still pretty much of a crap game...
