Hmmm another typically very low score from Amiga Power of 11%.
(And yet they claim they didn't help kill off the Amiga).
Well they certainly didn't help it survive either, not with bizarrely low scores like that....

Vital Light is a seriously good game in the vein of Tetris, Klax and many other puzzlers. Audio and video departments stand well above this kind of games average and there are very nice examples of digital art throughout the game. Some say its style is reminiscent of the Bitmap Brothers but it might be a general cyberpunk easthetic influence as well. As far as gameplay is concerned Vital Light is great, having everything that is needed in this kind of game. I don't know why a couple of magazines underrated this game so much. Probably because this game was the opposite of what the Amiga market was looking for in 1994 (8/10).

Really nice game, and original concept, progressive difficulty.
Finished it alone and with a friend too...

Wow! Such mixed reviews and comments here! Seems this is a game you either like or dislike! Personally.. I like it!
I like the GFX style and think its well done (feels influenced by Bitmap bro's Speedball 2 and Chaos Engine) and the music and effects are pretty good as well.
If you like puzzle games, give this a go... You will either really enjoy it, or not like it at all, either way, it would be a shame to miss out on this Gem if you are one of the people who end up extremely enjoying it like i do!
Still cant believe its rated so low...

Very good game. Simple concept enriched by lots of ideas. The only real downside is the high degree of difficulty - at the moment I'm at level 39 and I don't believe I'll manage to get much further.
gameplay: 9
graphics: 7
sounds: 7
music: 4
overall: 8

Vital Light follows the example of Tetris inventing something new like Puyo Puyo or Columms did, without as much success as these games,it demands mental rapidity like these games.I think that it's a game underated coverall by scored 11% of Amigapower,Scooby Doo game in Amigapower is scored 90%,this magazine is pure shite.I think that the idea is amused and the game has excellent technical section,by the way this is a Spanish game

Gorgeous graphics, but the gameplay is less "puzzle" and more "crappy space invaders with colour matching." Bleurgh.
3/10

Quite addictive puzzle game. I would have played it more if it didn't take so long to load...

I agree with Jams, but the intro is absolutely beautifully drawn!
