Very nice sort of a turn based strategy game, excellent graphics and great post-apocaliptic atmosphere, the only complaint is that at the start it seems hugely difficult and at the middle it become too easy and quite boring after you experienced every location, it is quite annoying that there is no way other than accumulate resources in a pair of locations where there is no way to gather food or water. Anyway I tried to give the bible to the priest in the church but nothing happens, it seems to be no way to use some objects other than to trade them with merchants, like the game was not finished in the end.

One of the games in which the manual is half of the experience. It contains many informative tidbits about nuclear disasters and survival in a ravaged wasteland, all of which will greatly affect your immersion in the game.

I still use to play Burntime in the winter - it always gets me warm!
As i play Transarctica in the summer...

I never really got into this game, but always liked it because it had a weird. Post-apocalyptic mood and lots of disgusting stuff to discover and carry around. A manual would have been helpful, I suppose ...

Unsettling mood. Great idea, only a bit tough for beginners.
Politically interesting game.

A wonderful mix of strategy and role playing elements, set in a post apocalyptic world. Lots of fun, although it's a bit tough, and it takes quite a few start up attempts to really get the hang of it. But once you understand what's going on, a real treat.
