This was a great game but on an A500 and A1200 it's not much fun because it's slow. Disappointing, it came out over 2 years later than the PC Dos version from 1989, and that version has more colors in VGA and runs as smooth as butter on a 12mhz 286.
I also tried this using a Blizzard 1230 MKIV (68030 at 50MHz), it is playable but infuriatingly STILL not as fast and smooth as the Dos version.

Suonds good, looking fast (a3000 at all cost!), playing well!
Controls are intuitive....so... Is a very amusing game that put you in the action hatdly! The difficulty is high but the pleasure of the game never gives you a frustration.
I really appreciate!

Loved this game. Played the main campaign dozens and dozens of times all the way through. The only annoyance I had was when flying in the city mission, where the processor got slow and twitchy. My best friend had this game as well and we would sit on the phone talking to each other while flying the same mission.

If you can get past the slowness, even on an A1200 there is a great simulator here.
There's a chilling atmosphere to this game. Being able to level so much damage to people on the ground with a variety of powerful weaponry in complete detachment. It's quite surreal, and makes you feel rather god like. Working out your strategy to dodge SAMs and get the job done made for a deep and interesting game.
Firing the cannon felt awesome. "Shells the size of milk bottles" it says in the manual, and it certainly feels like it when you're letting rip with that thing.

The game is very appealing, though I played enhanced version 1.5 which is considerably better than the original. I must admit I liked it. Everything seems to be reasonable. I was not overwhelmed with the steering and the handling, I knew where to fly and what to do. Difficulty level is completely different story. The game is rather hard. It ain't easy to complete even the training mission. Still it is worth trying. Nice graphics but it can only be experienced on a very fast machine.

Just didnt like it... Grainy scanned gfx for a cockpit, and really really slow 3D... It had potential but it just didn't work for me.

Maybe its just me, but i liked this game. Maybe its just favorite aircraft
A-10 (Cobra Rattler) but i enjoyed it even though it is abit slow, even on my A1200. But i still enjoyed it. Same goes for Red Baron.

Decent flight sim, but the PC version is far better. (72%)

I enjoyed sneaking around mountains and canyons, busting tanks and dodging SAMs quite a bit. The graphics had been adapted very well from VGA and the controls were easy to learn, difficult to master. A genuine but certainly entertaining challenge.
I don't recall A-10 being a slow hog however. I ran it on a GVP120Mb/40Mhz turbo board and it was swell. On the other hand, I do remember Dynamix's "red baron" being fairly slow despite the faster CPU, same with "stellar 7". Maybe the designers felt that a more casual, gentler screen update added a strategic touch to their games. Who knows?
On the whole, A-10 is immersing because it is designed well. I believe an "updated" version was released a year later. May have included a mission disk... Anyone ever owned A-10 V2.0 on the Amiga?

Dull, dull, dull.

Nice Graphics, pity it runs as smooth as an Opel Astra from 1993 (even on an A1200), nice try but no cigar 4/10.
