As said, a real mess. Using the Crazy Cars engine, it was a very good opportunity to create a "Mad Max" game on the same idea of Road Blaster. But it's too fast and to difficult to control. You don't really understand what's happening on screen and why your car is exploding so many times, even if the abundance of bonuses gives you the chance to keep on road.
So you begin to play with plenty of stars in the eyes with digitized music, sampled SFX and colorful GFX. But quickly frustration is taking priority over what should be just a funny excuse to blast everything on the road with huge flames and explosions.
Sad... But I had to confess I keep good memories with this one back in 1989

A horrible, jerky mess.

I think the programmer is ashamed of this because I don't see any credits.
This game is just lousy. Someone should have "fired" the programmer, "forgot" to release this hunk of junk and thrown it into a scrapyard. Actually, that's an insult to wrecked cars.

The fact that you loose fuel no matter how fast is running the Thunder Master is an odd and questionable game mechanism. F&F 2 doesn't bear this flaw and has much more to offer in my opinion.

I liked this game somehow. Much better than 'Roadblasters' for example. The name - Fire & Forget - was appealing to me at that time (1989). The sampled music and effects made an unusual atmosphere. I also liked the idea of bringing peace to a place (the peace dove appeared on a completed level) with violence.

The first game I ever saw running on an Amiga. I thought it was just *amazing*. The things we do when we're young and stupid. 1/10.

Very mediocre action game with cheap graphics.
