Hello Guys, well the only real problem about such a game, is the too thin manual.
First, the icon command are not detailed enough as to use them why and when ; Secondly, the history is told, but some important matters are not told, you're discovering them ingame. This removes quite an amount of game attractiveness. Third, the important objects are also not covered, this means at some point, and since you can die of 2 different manners, how can you know exactly what to do and what to pick up, considering you can die of tiredness ?
Other than that, and once the things are known, this game is really good to play. The arcade sections are refreshing, and also not that easy to pass.
Otherwise, the graphics, sounds and animations are wonderfully made.
The manual should had an addendum but it didn't

I've never understood what to do in this, I've recently tried to reload this in emulation but I couldn't get too far until I left it

I'd say this is a good game, not a masterpiece, just good. It reeks of dungeon crawler enough in the maze sections to make those part lovables and parallax sections are piece of cake (just run and jump).
My only complaint (valid for the PC version too) is that life (or strength, as is called ingame) can deplete even by doing nothing. Someone attacks you and you lose health, you carry too much and you lose health. At first I didn't know what was happening and lost many lives trying to traverse the catacombs, because I was carrying too much.
Oh, and this game is overrated in magazines. Too much disk swapping and a little confusing with all that smooth animation (I prefer Eye of the Beholder simplistic way of moving around).

The gripes from other posters about this game are absolutely valid. I agree. But I still loved this game sooo much! It had everything I liked about gaming, including some nifty new stuff like the scrolling forest level to get lost in. I didn't get terribly far in it (I definitely need to load it up again for old times sake and see if I can get further in) but I still feel it's among the best from this company. Like someone else mentioned, there was a T-shirt included (which I wore until I could no longer hang the pieces of it on my body it was so worn out. This company was good at putting nice graphic polish on it's Amiga titles. Certainly, another show-off title from them. I bought the PC version as well and it wasn't the same. I think I had problems getting the sound to work on that one and the store wouldn't take it back. Never had that problem with an Amiga game. Plus, graphically the PC version didn't even come close to the Amiga's greatness on this title.
7/10 overall. But still among my favorites on Amiga. I agree, that opening title was a real stunner. I remembering wishing I could wander around in those trees for real and look around. What's just beyond the trees, sort of thing. And, no, I didn't use drugs or alcohol! XI

I have no idea why, but I like it. It's really easy to get lost in that darn forest, especially because they used a peculiar scrolling technique to make it feel 'seamless', which does unfortunately and very effectively destroy any sense of orientation, because walking around does not feel like 'turning' but more like 'sidestepping' or 'strafing'. Nevertheless, it does have a certain atmosphere and feel to it, that I can't really pinpoint, but which makes me come back and try again ever so often.

The author of a mag review for Obitus sited it as literally the best game he'd ever played. I bought it based on that glowing review. I don't know what the guy was smoking. Gameplay was excessively boring, and it was really easy to get lost in the woods. Had a nice look to it, but that can only take you so far.

It's not bad at all but worst game psygnosis made for Amiga.

I bought this one. It came with a nice black cotton t-shirt sporting the box art. After wandering in the forest for ages, I wanted to go out into the streets and beat the closest, oldest person to death with my mouse.
