Badly executed as it is ... There was a time I used to play it regularly. But i can't recommend it to anybody unless he (or she) is interested in trash ... Because then it can become fun again ...

In Italy we used to magnify the Japanese Megadrive version of this game since we were all so fond of Hokuto No Ken back then. But the reality is that the original Megadrive game sucked (too absurdly difficult and trivial too) and this conversion is even worse since is shorter, less playable and with all the names changed. In the Italian videogames magazines back then the advertisement yelled: "Kenshiro is coming!", a pathetic try to hide the fact that the western developers never bothered to acquire the rights on the original series.

Truthfully, most Fist of the North Star video games were rather forgettable, at least those up to the mid 90's. The PS1 brawler was actually pretty good, and so are the Atomiswave/PS2 versus fighter and ''Ken's Rage'' on PS3/X360. But it was a totally different story with NES/SNES/Genesis games, and by extension this one here.
The Genesis version was already a mediocre effort, especially because Kenshiro's moves were too short-ranged compared to the ones most bosses had, which kind of unbalanced the whole game. The Amiga version was half as long but managed to be even more frustrating. Think about the second boss fight with Hulk Hogan's dead ringer, while darts randomly come out of thin air and there's nothing you can do to avoid them. Also, gaining the 1000 fist blow was actually a downside, as it was considerably slower than the Genesis version and rendered your character quite vulnerable in the meantime.
And what about those backgounds... As flat as a Western B-movie set. The mighty Aarzak ...er ...Kenshiro deserved a better treatment than this.

Play the Japanese Mega Drive version. The Amiga conversion is unplayable due to the one-button joystick controls.

Brainless game from ultrabrainless anime.

Unfortunately, the Amiga version is NOT 100% complete. Those bastards at creative materials only converted the the first screen part of the map.
The genesis version is WAY longer, with more bosses. I'm disgusted, not only the game is unfinished, but it's crap like hell.

Bwahahahahahaha! I remember playing this on 16bit Sega : crap! Crap! Crap! I didn't know it was Ken's license back then, and I'm happy! 90% of this game is annoying : you walk, beat guys that fly because you're twenty times stronger, only the ones with guns can pose a threat. Then you have the miniboss : most suck. Then you get the level boss, the only fun part. Oh, and there are labyrinths that are boring as hell.
Too bad because some levels were decent, even cool, like the gallion.

What a shame !!! This game is the official conversion of the anime
FIST OF THE NORTH STAR aka KEN LE SURVIVANT aka HOKUTO NO KEN.
The real names of the characters have been changed to others because they didn't had the license to use them.
Arffff..... And ugly graphics convertion!

The Last Battle? Rather the last codswallop!

Pure crap. Thought it was a joke the first time I played it. Something must have gone horribly wrong during the development process.

An ugly game, never understood what was the sense of this conversion... (since the original megadrive wasn't a good game)
