I've played it to death. Amazing and unique game play. Very Bad menu conception ( take a time to be used to), can't have musics AND sounds.
A must try even more with 2 or 3 players.

Loved this as a kid, but coming back to it now, the actual gameplay is rather poor.

If memory serves, the team "The Eldritch Cats" is named after the programing team, who are named after the cat of one of the programmers, which is in turn named after the singer and now only member of the "Sisters of Mercy", Andrew Eldritch (Andrew William Harvey Taylor).

What a game this is. It kind of plays like a cross between Speedball and air hockey, with a third player thrown in. Although it wears thin quickly as a one-player game, with two or three players it's one of the best multiplayer games on the Amiga. Unfeasibly brilliant fun.

Hm, looks like a lot of you guys like this game very much. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. I neither like the simple graphics nor the simple gameplay. Only good thing is the 3-player mode. (58%)

Projectyle is such a magnificent game that I ever played. Such a good sport game to play on Amiga. I never ever stop playing this game ever since when I started playing it when I was a kid. Some of the graphics of this game seems a bit slow, but the others are quite smooth. The sound FX are awesome and all of the tunes of every team are very good, but one of my favourites is the one on the Vectors team and it's also my favourite team. With their home field it's like glowing in the dark with green and black. The other teams with their home field are pretty good as well. It was a good thing that Elderitch The Cat had to develop this game with the software of Electronic Arts. Absolutely Superb!!! That I would have to rate this game Awesome!!! 10/10. A job well done to all of the credits.

I liked this a lot when I was kid. The game idea is quite interesting and those different teams from different parts of solar system are nice, so I suggest everyone interested in futuristic sport games gives a try. The graphical variation in different gamefields and teams adds a lot to the game. Music is very good, by the way, the best songs being Manic Moose and Devils (each team has one song that is heard when playing on their home field).

May be fun for a while but there is nothing special about this game. Graphics are very basics too. Average IMHO: not bad but nothing that will makes you remember it.

Indeed Steffoz, finally Projectyle has arrived at Lemon Amiga! I was waiting and hoping for that to happen too.

Imagine a game which combines soccer with air hokey and you've got Projectyle! Try to manoeuvre a disc onto the pitch of your opponents and then try to bounce it into his/her/its goal! Played over three time-slots, the team with the most points wins (surprisingly). The things which make Projectyle such a good game are besides the very nice colourful graphics and crazy thumbing tunes, the enormous extensiveness of the game. There are many many options and settings to change to your liking, which lets you customize the game just the way you like it. From the rules during the games to the difficulty and skills of your opponents. And being able to play a full league besides the single games makes this very satisfying in the long run. You can obviously safe your progress along the way so you can continue the following day. Another nice option are the power-ups which appear in the arena, which can help (or hinder) you in your quest for goals!

On a personal note. I read about the game in a computer mag (Computer & Videogames to be exact) when it was still under construction and I was really anticipating its arrival. When I finally got it, I loved it instantly... If you are a soccer fan or like air hokey, then give this very original game a try. It will not disappoint you!

Graphics: 8/10
Sound: 8/10
Playability: 9/10

Overall: 9/10

Nice two-player action! Graphically the game looks nice enough, but nothing special. The different arenas all look different enough to ensure it doesn't become boring. The nicest thing about the graphics are the way the discs indent on impact.

The game has some nice music that really support the sometimes hectic gameplay. The sound effects are adequate but nothing to write home about.

A match starts in the middle arena which has three goals that lead to the arena of each of the three teams. The fourth arena has three goals for each team. Whoever scores the most points in three innings wins. The duration of a match can be adjusted and a few nice bonusses and penalties can be found during gameplay. The ball races across the screen and trying to reach the bouncing ball will have your joystick screaming for mercy.

The gameplay doesn't offer much for single player mode, but with two players it becomes a lot of fun. I even believe you could play it with three players, but I never actually tried it.
